I prefer to have total control of my hosted server.. so I opted to get RackSpace’s cloud server. I think I’m paying around $20 a month. Their support is awesome as always.
Can you tell me more about cloud thing? What is this?

Cloud servers distribute the files you upload to their servers around the world so they are living on multiple machines. Say someone from Hong Kong pings your site and RackSpace’s closest location to that user is Tokyo. It will route the user to the machine located in Tokyo versus going to say a Los Angeles based machine which will result in a faster experience for the users. I use this at my work and it is awesome.

Does anyone know of a flip book that will support 1000+ pages? I’ve tried a couple and the ones I do load all the pages into memory thus causing a significant drop in performance.

It would be nice if you could set a page buffer or something of like 10 where it keep the next and previous 10 pages in memory and as you turn the buffered pages will load/remove themselves.

One suggestion to staff. http://0.envato-static.com/images/homepage_banner.jpg is same at all marketplaces (except tutorials marketplace). Maybe that image should be changed? Just to make better impression for new unregistered users…

haha oops..I guess people usually blur that part out..oh well.

AND mine says the same thing zoomit posted, thanks for being on top of it Ian.

I’ve been with paypal for 5+ years and haven’t had any problems. Sure the exchange rates suck but when it comes to envato, they take care of that fee. If you’re an author any money you make, you wont lose any of it through paypal.

I don’t understand why you are upset with envato though. They cannot do anything if it’s an issue with paypal. Hopefully you get whatever issue it is resolved soon. Maybe try a different pay service in the meantime?

I solved it with a body onload method.

onload I do checkClose
<body marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" onload="checkClose(&lt;?php echo $_GET['page']; ?&gt;);">
</body>
then my javascript method:

<script>
function checkClose(num)
{
    if (isNaN(num))
    {
        window.self.close();
    }
}
</script>
and my AS pretty much remains the same, I just don’t pass a number to note.php:
// close notes

var address:String = "notes.php?page=";
var jscommand:String = "window.open('" + address + "','PopUpWindow','height=528,width=800,toolbar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no');";
var url:URLRequest = new URLRequest("javascript:" + jscommand + " void(0);");
navigateToURL(url,"_self");

Thanks for the reply though!
