Are you sure that you need someone to help you? There are free plugins for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

Having a free plugin install is one way of going about it . If the plugin installation doesn’t give you the speed you need.

I’m happy to help you out more. Private contact me via my profile or contact@websnappy.com.au

Hi Cubell,

I’m using RamNode – $2 per month :) Run my on VPS SSD server. If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty with linux command line. You can run your themeshop with a very fast response …

I went ASO (asmallorange) yesterday and so far I am very satisfied. Speed is amazign and support is like, always online (which helps since I am server noob). Also, they have 2x RAM on their VPS packages now for free, so great time to sign up :)

Free upgrade to 2 Gb Ram on VPS ? Is that for lifetime :) or a certain period ?.

Just to share my experience with Asmallorange: since many elite authors described ASO as a great service I tried their VPSes, almost the same configuration I had (and still have) with JaguarPC (and the same I had before with Servint): Pingdom reported 3 downtimes in less than 48 hours and tons of errors due to the RAM, the worst experience ever.

So who are you hosting with now ?

Seems to a common theme in my response but here are some questions i normally throw out when someone ask about what kind of hosting and who:

1. Who are your target audience ? 2. Where is the majority of your visitors coming from ? Which country. 3. how many unique visitors you ge per day and per month. What kind of bandwidth are you serving per month. 4. How much would you loss in terms of $$ if your website/web host goes down for 1hour or 1 day ? (may not be easy to come up quickly but with some digging and reflection on your own analytics you should be able to put a $ figure to it)

That will help you get started to pick which VPS hosting company. Obviously you wanna pick one which is closer to what you answered in question 1 and 2. That’ll serve your content quicker without needing CDN. But hey, if you have the $$. CDN all the way.

Then you think about how much you willing to spend. That will narrow down what type of VPS you will consider.

The million dollar question is what is the cheapest and the best ? It’ll be each to it’s own context. I’m using a VPS from RamNode, best support for the price i’m paying. They are not the greatest, but it fit my bill and serve my purpose.

Depends on the people you are serving your content to the most. And which audience you are trying to target.

Then, we’ll pick the a VPS hosting closest or directly at where your audience is. That’ll help service the content faster.

Cheapest setup i’ve done which you can look into is VPS from RamNode for $2 a month :) . Bear in mind, i don’t setup a theme shop myself but have been using it for similar visitor demand from my day job as a sysadmin.

You can consider CDN which adds in serving contents around the world if you are trying to conquer the world :)
