Hi MUS! If the same items are being sold on different sites when the author is exclusive, they are in breach of our terms and conditions. You did the right thing contacting our Help team, awesome job, thanks so much for doing that.
To answer your question, it’s just like life itself… a minority of people will always try to break and bend rules on purpose, knowingly, and try to get away with it, but in doing so, they are taking a big risk and will have to face the reality of consequences if/when caught.
Please also note that any authors that transition away from being exclusive here I believe they have a grace period of about 30 days while the exclusivity expires, so, without knowing anything specific about the items/authors you have reported, please bear this in mind as far as time is concerned. Ultimately, the information on Exclusive Author Information always applies, so anyone who is in breach of the exclusivity agreement should proceed with caution, see below:
What happens if I don’t meet exclusivity?
Depending on the extent of your breach of exclusivity, it may be decided that your rate is reduced to that of a non-exclusive author or if your breach is considered serious enough, you’ll be disabled as an author completely and you may lose your ability to sell with us in the future.
I’m in !! Just have one question, may I use same images and manipulate it on photoshop? Or the final work has to be 100% digital
Hello Piktufa! You can rework the image however you want, and yes, you may use Photoshop (or whatever other tools/apps you like). We’ve provided the asset in multiple formats and you can be as creative as you like. You simply come up with a JPG image with a width or height of 1200px and then post it on the official Envato Remix page. Hope to see you and your submission on Envato Remix very soon!
Cool But Only Paypal Account Holders Can Participate I Think
Hi Imaginext! Anyone can enter. The point about the main PayPal prize is simply, if you are the grand prize winner, the main prize is sponsored by PayPal so the prize can only be given to someone with a PayPal account in good standing. i.e. The prize cannot be transferred or converted in any way (e.g. converted to Envato Market credit). If someone wins and they don’t have a PayPal account, then they just win the other items that are part of the grand prize package. So again, anyone can enter. Hope that helps!
it seems like some image dimensions in your blog post are not correct. I’m not sure about other entries, but MCGRAPHICS’s entry links are not linking to the image dimensions it says they are.Congrats to all those that entered!
Hello OriginalEXE, links now fixed, thanks for letting us know!http://marketblog.envato.com/community/wallpaper-contest-1-winner-announced/
This thread is full of outstanding photos. Would be great if all authors can use them in items previews.
That’s not a bad idea, dorde! We’ll have to look at this at some point in the future however. Right now, it’s not permissible. Amongst other things, we’d need to collect authorization from each participant in order to verify they agree to their work being used in this way. Again, for clarification, and to keep this contest super straight forward for Sam to run, wallpaper entries cannot be used at this time for item previews.
Glad to revisit at a future point though as it’s a lovely idea! Thanks so much for understanding!
Hey Scott, I didn’t get the badge, and I was a superstar in January this year: http://marketblog.envato.com/community/community-superstars-january-2015/. Can you please look into this? Thanks!
Good one! Thanks so much for catching! Badge re-awarded to you and your fellow January Superstars, enjoy!
