Fix for Envato Purchase Code Verifier for bbPress
In case anyone is using the Envato Purchase Code Verifier for bbPress plugin available on CodeCanyon, you’ll need to add the User Agent string now to make that work. (Seems like this plugin has been abandoned, so I’m posting the solution here)
To fix this, open
tc-bbpress-verify/inc/tcf_bootstrap.php and around line 322 in the
tcbbpressverify_verify_license() function, add the user agent string to the CURL request.
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/38.0.2125.66 Safari/537.36");
So the result looks like this:
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, 'http://marketplace.envato.com/api/edge/'.$envato_username.'/'.$envato_apikey.'/verify-purchase:'.$license_to_check.'.json'); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_USERAGENT, "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/38.0.2125.66 Safari/537.36"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, 5); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true); $ch_data = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch);
Hope that helps!
And thanks to MarekMnishek for providing a ready-to-use user agent string above
Let’s keep it all in one place as imithemes suggestedhttp://themeforest.net/forums/thread/september-sales/140905
Let’s take a step back here.
When you say the files are deleted – do you mean that they appear in your Downloads page with a notice next to them saying the files have been removed, or do they not appear at all? If they aren’t appearing at all, the most likely scenario is that you purchased them through a different account. In 100% of instances where customers have contacted me about missing files, it’s because they were logged into the wrong account. It’s possible this may be the case for you as well, especially if the files are still for sale on the marketplace.
If the files appear, but a notice beside them explains the files are no longer available, then the only way to get the latest files would be to contact the author directly and request them.
Regarding responses from support, unfortunately those have been pretty slow lately, but do check your spam folder in case they ended up there
Third, I purposely didn’t spell out the words because I didn’t think it appropriate to do so even if I was a bit frustrated. And with today’s society putting the crap they put on TV, added with the so called ‘music” of today, the movies, etc. that magnifies far worse language and visuals than those two letters I wrote by a long shot…..get over yourself. So, if your that offended by the letters of bs that you had to “delete them” and put parenthesizes around them “for “language”, my advice to you is grow up and get a life. And thank you so much for “tattling” on me to the staff for my incredulous remarks so they can “join in”. ...... What are you, in third grade?
There’s really no reason for this tone. The forum rules state that crude language is against the rules, and Paul is enforcing that as he is supposed to. While I understand you are frustrated, there’s no reason you can’t express your concerns respectfully. And he did not “tattle” on you – he requested a staff reply so that they could provide you with an official response and assist in the matter further, if possible, to help get you a resolution. He was trying to help you – I think you maybe just misunderstood what he said.
Hope that helps to clarify a bit.
