Hi there simaudio, I only have to thank you for your answer, that’s what I was looking for, you grasp the meaning of my question cause I ‘ve already red tons of tips about “how to promote” music (they are all good tips) but it always miss something, as you said “it’s a marathon not a sprint”, that’s true! I think that’s a middle-road between items, promotion, patience, good quality of items, variety. Now I’m really excited to work here and I hope I’ll be as good as you. Good luck
That’s very kind of you to say, thanks and good luck to you too
And thanks everybody for your support and kind words, it’s such a great community here i wish you all well !
Congarts, that’s awesome keep it up!
I’m so upset!!! I can’t believe what happened tonight in the Spurs Vs Bolton game that i was watching. It’s so upsetting and i’m gutted!!! : really upset, these guys earn millions but it’s worth nothing when you nearly lose your life in a game of football !!!!! Forget the color of your shirt, this a person that is in a critical condition ! He collapsed in the game and all i can say is; “GET WELL SOON ”
I’m praying for you.
It puts the whole game and life into perspective.
MrLukeFor saidHi there, I think after about a month, I only started with five items and have since taken off all of those items apart from the one that sold, one week is not a long time to be in this market place!
Great Can I ask you how long it took for your 1st sale since your 1st upload? I uploaded my first item one week ago (I know that’s a short time) Congrats again
The sales will come for you, just listen to what the other quality authors and reviewers on this site say and learn by it! This is a really good community here and there is some great advice available out there.
Be patient and remember; you’ve got to be in it for the long haul! Think about the bigger picture! it’s taken a bit of time for me to get to 200 sales but I have only got 21 items to date, (excluding packs) “i am not in this for a quick buck “so in all…. I don’t think that’s a bad ratio and I am happy with that and I think most people would be ? I do try to only put on items that I consider of being quality items (that’s important to me) I could upload 200 items but I wouldn’t be happy if the quality wasn’t great, I am very busy working on many other projects, I would like to upload more tracks and I will do at some stage, but like I said; I have to be happy and think this track will sell on A.J. before I upload it.
So listen to what others say and remember “it’s a marathon not a sprint” that was somebody else that said that on the forums” and it wasn’t me….... but i live by it! Create good music in the meantime and keep uploading quality items on A.J. and “quality” being the most important word! whilst you are waiting for your first sale and I am sure the sales will come, be patient, be happy and enjoy what you do. That’s the advice I can give you but hey! I aint no big cheese around here so what do I know ? but that’s the way I see it.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you MrLukeFor, hope it goes well for you and i hope you get many sales.
Thanks for the post to me
Finally got there! It took a while over the last 4 weeks, sales were going great and suddenly they just stopped, but it has starting to pick up again, maybe it’s not just the new search system but also the time of year, but I’m happy this morning because my 200th sale was an extended licence.
That made me smile some things are worth being patient for.
Many thanks to all customers, staff, followers and listeners for getting me there.
What about this! I’m off to a friend’s house now to sort out his really ancient Mac, I need to wind this thing up! I do hope he hasn’t lost the key? Ha ha, it must be about 15yrs old, I keep telling him he should update but he is happy because it works for him. He’s been running Emagic Logic Gold on it since day one, I managed to get him a version of Platinum 5, I found this in my local music shop that has been collecting dust for about 10yrs, this shop is like an Aladdin’s cave, the stuff the guys got there in the shop you just wouldn’t believe it, he also has a synth museum there,” that’s where they go to die” it’s like heaven for synth’s ! Anyway my friend has had an album deal for the last couple of years making new age music and his music has been selling really well, so the irony of this is? You don’t need fantastic up to date gear to make good music that sells
Congrats Awesome !
Seems like there’s a lot of sales milestones and paws being reached lately. Congratulations to everyone involved and good luck to those still working towards a goal. A few moments ago I just had my 500th sale! Can’t believe I reached this number since I started. Thanks to all authors that have helped me along the way with advice/ideas.
In September a friend said to me, “Hey James, you ever heard of stock audio? You should give it a try. Check out Audiojungle….”
So I did and here I am! So glad. Not bad for a young guy in Scotland recording music in a bedroom studio!
All the best everyone.
JamesSweet Wave Audio
Congrats ! Amazing in such a short space of time, really pleased for you
I’m hoping to reach a milestone myself, i’m currently on 199 sales, it seems to be taking forever as sales have been slooooow, but it’s starting to pick up now.
Once again congrats on your meteoric rise
