i am not really sure but dwf files are for viewing purpose only, for presentation etc. many original data is lost. maybe you can convert it with third party tools or import it to autocad and save as dwg. for cad data i only use native inventor files (which is awesome in 3dsmax), stp, sat or igs. this saves me alot of time, but i think this won’t fix your problem. simlos
yes, only 3 sales in june so far, but its sunny today
@ felt: yes, you are right in the past those jobs were paid well, i remember times doing some 3d jobs for a good payment – actually 95% of my earnings are from freelance jobs and i started creating templates last july, just to see how it works. i think the future will be a mix of both, using templates and custom made stuff depends on clients and budget. and its correct if it wasn’t my template it would be from another…
so there are always two sides of the medal with prices as a buyer, i bought some stuff at the envato marketplace and there is a big difference in quality and usability of the items. some were great and exactly what i have expected and some were poor in programming or other quality issues. the fact that this is an “open” marketplace always have some risks for buyers and i mean that from an professional perspective. i buy stuff if i a have a very short deadline or a small budget for production. and i don’t look at prices or search for the cheapest, i want quality and the easiest way to hold my deadlines. an casual user has totally different approaches to search items and he/she wants totally different elements (like ease to use).
from an author point of view there should be a non and a commercial license, cause i feel good if a father makes a small video to surprise his family for a small budget using one of my template, but i feel a bit ripped off if i see one of my templates in an commercial presentation and i get 10$ for it, and the agency which used it gets 1000$. and yes i saw one of my templates running at a trade fair in germany – first i thought it’s nice to see it in action but my second thought was, i have stolen a job of another freelancer…
just my two cent
hehe ghosteam, themeforest has more potential
sales are average for me, 4-5 a day but for wednesday its bad, i have normally 10-15
as ghosteam already mentioned put in some details, for me it also looks very static, even if you have animated your elements (they are always at the same position and scale) – there is no “story”. maybe i would start with a more detailed view of the circuit board and zoom back to the total, but this would lead to a new different template and much work. so its only some input from me… greetings simlos
it depends on your item, if its affected by the bundle. if you have an corporate styled file it may be affected, but in my opinion bundles don’t affect sales at all, more people visit envato at “bundle time”, so the chances to sell stuff are also higher.
congrats riddlerius – extended are always nice
for me, first days in april are normal sales.
yes the older item will disappear from the frontpage, even if its another category, i had this with an ae template and a motion graphic a while ago, so it seems better to let a day between uploading, if you want the exposure.
