I would suggest that responsive sites are the future because they offer a far better experience – IF, and I repeat IF the ‘mobile’ version/layout is well designed. Just try and view the majority of ‘normal’ sites on a mobile and you will find yourself searching for information by zooming in and out, trying the navigate a site with ten odd links in the menu displayed across the screen and you can barely see the link or button without zooming right in. I think as the year passes and into the next year we will see designers getting far more comfortable and fully understanding what is required in the mobile layout.
When you are designing something the hardest thing is subjectivity. Listen to what people say, if a design is good then people will say so. I am not a web designer but I am a graphic designer and I know that to be too different means limiting your audience. You will not find a single website in the world which is unique, it’s very meaning means that it is impossible, for instance every goth thinks they are unique and different, from the millions of other goths (sorry went off on a tangent there).
What you can be is a good designer, understand which colours look good with others, understanding layout, white space, typography etc. When I have the luxury of time I go back a few days after creating a design and looking at it with fresh eyes.
Congratulations!!
It’s the best feeling in the world, becoming a father.
I was a big time user of firefox since the beginning but switched when it got bloated like IE, unfortunately I switched to that pile of rubbish that is opera, what the hell if wrong with that browser? so many bugs.
My browser of choice is now chrome, fast, customizable and so far bug free, with x new tab page it is extremely nice! And memory usage is way better than firefox.

I have sent you messages. Gareth I have emailed you.
Thank you all for applying
Cant really speak as someone who knows code but the design itself does look good, nice colour choice etc.
Hi Andrei
I have sent you the details, thank you.
When you consider that microsoft is one of the most well know companies in the world they should have an instantly recognisable graphic logo such as apples and shells, perhaps the four squares with a very basic graphic element in on of the squares, perhaps an ‘M’ and get rid of the colours as well, white or black boxes with ‘M’ in the bottom left corner, nice and simple and people would instantly know which company it belonged to. something like this http://www.sketchprinting.com/mslogo.png
I think most developers/designer would be using a desktop/laptop most of the time but I first came across the site on a phone so I know that it would certainly be an improvement but not a massive necessity. By the way just though that I would say this (trust me I’m not sucking up); this is by far the best marketplace for sites I have seen, and the forums are on a whole different level, professional staff and non-troll members.
Overall it is very nice, just the bright green buttons are too much, the rest of the design uses subtle colours, perhaps a nice white button will stand out more. Nice background as well.
