My tactic is to start simple and basic. As you start developing, new ideas will begin to flow on your creations direction. I have projects on the go which seem to never-end as I keep thinking of new features along the way.
Perhaps you could create yourself a nice new theme framework which “shows of your personality”. Then use this as the base of your themes.
Hey everyone.
I’ve almost complete my “Freelancer Pro” WordPress plugin. I just wanted to let people know what it can do, not to advertise it, but to get feedback on what I should change/add etc. So it currently does this:
- Manage Projects
- Manage Clients
- Manage Contacts
- Create and send quotes (either emails a PDF attachment or sends a link)
- Create and send invoices (either emails a PDF attachment or sends a link)
- Calendar
You can link contacts to clients, clients to projects, projects to invoices, projects to quotes etc. You can link almost anything to something else.
They all use custom post types and the UI is coming along nicely. If you have ever used Freshbooks or thrivesolo then you’ll knwo what features this comes with.
My question is; what features would you like to see?
Congrats and good luck with your sales!
To be honest with you, I would have purchased a nice looking standalone theme and then I would have installed WooCommerce (which is free). WooCommerce caters for what it sounds like you need and is widely supported/extended.
What you have there looks reasonable to me. Another method of doing what you need is via filters. Are there any filters you can hook into?
Hi all.
I love a challenge, and as a result I am developing my own Theme Framework which I will then use to develop themes with. I was wondering what the community thought were features that should always be required with a theme/framework and what features the community would like to see which aren’t always included?
Thanks!

what a pity
Does anyone know of a plugin for WooCommerce where you can allow customers to order samples? For example, I am developing a wallpaper website and my client would like to have the ability for potential customers to order samples (some are free and some require payment).
If this plugin doesnt exist then Ill have to develop it. If I do develop it, would anyone else find this useful? If so Ill add it on CC.
Thanks.
