Hey Travis, I’m interested in helping as well!
Very awesome. Congrats to all the winners!
Man, nice room! Hope mine gets up to that level one day.
Congrats, man! I’m totally with you…I’ve spent a lot of time working on a band creating a brand, managing social media, developing a fan base, distribution, touring, etc. Lots of work for little return. AJ has brought me great things. Hope you get more continued success here!
If you enjoy any Andy Samberg or the Lonely Island, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is pretty hilarious.
TuneCore is actually super easy. They just ask what music you want to add and then give you a checklist of stores and services that you want your music to be in. I personally don’t think it’s any harder than AudioJungle. If you do end up going that direction, shoot me an email, and I’ll be more than happy to help you out!
I have my music on Reverb Nation for many years, got some contacts from that, about 20-30 fans… and that’s all. In a shorter time I got several hundreds of fans on Soundcloud and I see people being pretty happy with Bandcamp.
Definitely agreed on this. IMHO ReverbNation as a music social media tool has faded away a la MySpace. BandCamp and SoundCloud are definitely the best ways to promote personal music. I don’t know if you’ve looked into it, but I use TuneCore for personal stuff. It aggregates all stores including streaming services like Spotify. Plus they collect all the royalties and such for you into one account that you can withdraw from at any time.
