Go through theme help document first. Check if demo data / XML is included. It will set up a exact demo within minutes.
You can google for the queries you get while working on anything…for sure there is help online.
Gareth_Gillman saidI agree with @goofydadog. Exactly described my concern.
Banning bundled plugins will still not help the small theme producers get to the bestselling list. In fact it will make it harder. Whereas now, when the big theme production houses create their own sliders and page builders etc. small authors can compete by bundling cc plug-ins. If you ban bundled plugins, the big players will still include there own. What are you going to do then. Ban any sliders or page builders etc?
It’s not about banning them, it’s about letting users choose the one they want to use e.g. layer, revo or nivo, it gives the buyer the choice. It will then stop this stupid bundling of 20 plugins and advertising $1000 value ,,, when most people won’t use them… it will take us back to what themes are, a design.
Not all authors are capable to build powerful page builder / slider etc. But big players are. Why buyers will prefer theme which will need to spend some bucks more, if they get all in themes under big banners. This will cut down the sale for small authors. Indirectly will force them to work on page builders /sliders themselves if need to be in competition.
This will again create two streams, like currently it is for niche V/s multipurpose.
Plugin authors have choice for Item Licenses, they can exclude Extended License. Why to compel all …best example UberMenu.
The plugins which are popular now will not be in same position if what you have mentioned is implemented. No author can leave theme with mere compatibility for some major things like page builder. How can author advertize to buyer that you need better functionality?, purchase plugin. My theme itself is without all these advance functionality.
Anyhow authors will need to work on some free / own page builder / slider options. Just my thought though.
@gkamproductions personally speaking my theme may not be ’ The Avada’, but I’m not arrogant too . Its just like some authors get arrogant buyers, you may have got arrogant authors.
What you are stating is a principle with broad application that is not intended to be strictly accurate or reliable for every situation (thumb rule).
