I am working on a WP plugin that I would like to sell on CC.
There is a function that I would really like on it that I can possibly accomplish if I link my plugin with another plugin that is free on the wordpress repos.
Can I submit a plugin that depends on another and have it successfully approved?
What is the best way of achieving the dual plugin setup? Can I use something similar to TGM plugin activation?
I’m sure this should be fine as it’s no different from the woocommerce plugins on sale here but I just wanted t double check before committing loads of time into this route.
Any opinions and experiences from people that have developed and sold plugins that depend on other plugins would be great.
As earlier suggested, use wp_nav_menu() to generate the menu.
A popular method to get the menu working as desired is Superfish. Well written code, easilly customisable…. what more can I say.
Good luck with your learning. It is just as you say. You read and read and read until one day it just clicks.
Congratulations. Inspirational for those of us who are yet to get an item accepted.
Great resource Ivor. Simple but effective. I like. Thanks.
If I feel like my wordpress theme would benefit from a top-level menu, should I go ahead, or do I risk my theme being rejected by a reviewer. I’ve read around and a lot of people seem to think this is “ill-advised”.
I’ve read the author docs and haven’t spotted anything regarding this. Any thoughts?
Great. That makes my work a lot easier.
Thanks Jack. I thought as much but I thought it might work differently since I will be using the video for “commercial” purposes.
Im developing a theme that will allow users to embed video from youtube or vimeo. I’m looking for some good quality videos that I can use to demonstrate this function in the theme demo. Any suggestions??
I expect you would have to ask a Vimeo/YouTube author before you used his/her video?? Do these sites allow videos to be used in such a commercial manner? Any advice and tips would be most appreciated.
