Gotcha. I would still recommend at least changing it to blend in more with your template.

The “services” tab section is based off of a NETTUTS tutorial (looks like it was copied), and I think that’s against “the rules” (i.e. no work based off of a tutorial will be accepted).

I could be wrong…

It’s all about “satisficing” ...

“It is often preferable to settle for a satisfactory solution, rather than pursue an optimal solution… The best design decision is not always the optimal design decision…”

Taken from Universal Principles of Design

(GREAT book by the way)

I agree with all of you. Nothing beats hand coded websites.

However, some people either don’t know how to hand code websites or sometimes don’t have the time to do it. And with all the PSD templates on here, it’s a good solution for those circumstances.

Oh, and it isn’t my site. It’s media lab’s website.

Thought this would be a nice plugin for those wanting to use the Photoshop templates on Theme Forest, but don’t know how to code HTML and CSS …

From the Site Grinder website:

“Take ownership of your website. Effortlessly convert your Photoshop designs into standards compliant, CSS -rich webpages. All within Photoshop, and all with no coding required.”

I would lighten the shadows a bit. Make them a little more subtle.

Also, I would make the symbol in the header match the color of the symbol in the footer.

Looking good though.
