Thanks for being such a good sport about it! :)

You should use dribbble.com’s color picker feature this is a neat functionality to create a color pattern you’ll notice that there are alot of shots with extreme care as to wich colors are used and you’ll notice your color patterns are all really bland. :)

I understand about the mobile version but when you view it in the mobile frame it doesn’t fit the screen and overlaps?

Good luck man! You’ll make it work no doubt :)

You uploaded the wrong file. The file you downloaded from Themeforest needs to be unzipped first. In there you will find another zip that can be uploaded directly to your wordpress admin panel.

I really like the circle count down images :)

What I don’t like is the padding, the space between the logo, counter, socials, shadow and footer is cramped.. it seems squashed together :)

About the footer: this is the worst part. It looks kinda dull and flat to be honost :)

Keep at it! Kind regards, Tom

Blunny is right. It’s not “bad” it just “okay”. You should polish this up, add more features, pay attention to details etc. and it will probably be accepted :) look up similar templates to yours here on the marketplace and you’ll notice the attention to detail here is astonishing.

Just keep at it, you’ll make it! :)

Kind regards, Tom

Bare in mind i’m only trying to help you:

  • The typography is awefull
  • The colors look bland and ugly
  • The get template options is in the way
  • The background image is awefull
  • The mobile version isn’t the width it’s supposed to be
  • The whole color scheme just seems bland and dull
  • The dropcaps have bad padding around them
  • When I press on about i get a horizontal scrollbar in my browser (chrome) and a vertical double scrollbar

The one thing I really like about this is the idea behind it with the moving tiles, that’s a really cleverly tought out mockup. But this looks more like a rough draft to show the idea then an actual finished product. I don’t even understand why this is soft rejected, it clearly doesn’t stand up to the standards in the Vcard category. Just click here to view something similar for sale in the personal category and you’ll understand what I mean.

Your idea is great, but you should really polish it up! Hope you won’t have any hard feelings :)
Kind regards,
Tom

Hello,

This is because you uploaded the wrong file. When you download the file from themeforest (a .zip file) you should unzip that file and in it should be another zip file for you to upload directly in your wordpress admin panel.

Kind regards, Tom

To help you with the color scheme visit: http://dribbble.com/colors/cc3333 it’s such an amazing feature of dribble and it’s really nice to see how other designers use colors together :)

Also work on the typography since it seems off and work on polishing every little detail. Try and look up similar items as yours here on the marketplace and you’ll notice that the items for sale here are extremely polished! :)

Good luck!

You should locate the folder where the theme is stored e.g “theme” or “cnews” and in that folder should be “style.css” “header.php” and so on. Just zip that folder e.g “theme” into a zipp and upload it.

When an author uploads his theme however, he is forced to upload a zip file that can be installed directly so it should be there since he couldn’t put it up for sale if that file wasn’t there :)

Good luck.
