16 here but out of that I have only used 2 or 3 Graphicriver mockups. Others I have bought to check how it was made or just to support the works that I liked.
I have no idea if it is because of the summer (I started selling after summer of 2013.) or because of the World Cup but my sales this month went down by approximately 30% – for now.
The king is dead, long live the king!
That is a nice idea something like Shapeways. I think it would be a great addition to the marketplace. I would definitely gladly contribute to the category with phone case models or some jewelry figurines for print.
irrespective of your home country, join a forum called www.britishexpats.com
There are thousands of experts and migrants on there, and you will get invaluable advice.
Skilltests via Immi arent as plain sailing as online tests appear, so keep your feet firmly on the ground and join that forum.Good luck.
Thank you very much for your information I will definitely check it out! I did those tests just out of curiosity so I never took them for granted. It was nice to see that we qualify though, even if it doesn’t mean a thing
Cheers, thank you!
I was also expecting something bad this time xD
Hmm I am positively surprised!
I have tried to fill the online immigration visa application form (skill based one) and based on my career, career of my partner and our “sponsor” in Victoria (her uncle), it passed the test – meaning that we qualify – of course, the test is not 100% official, but it still gives us something to hope for!
I guess that we actually might try it!
I did the move to Australia 9 months ago, and i am enjoying every minute of it. Switzerland is a beautiful, safe and very pleasant country, but i found the lifestyle here in AUS to be incredible, laid-back, fun and full of opportunities. I do not regret moving here, not one second.
Is your fiancee Australian or does she just have relatives downunder?
The Australian Government is providing visa sponsorship, which helps to obtain permanent residency for people that have skills the country is in need for. I have no idea if there is a need for 3D guys thought.
I myself was a Physical Education teacher (i have a master in sports sciences) but Australia has more than enough teachers already. For me, the only solution to have permanent residency in Australia was to marry my Australian wife and go through A LOT of paperwork and procedures (that cost all together near AU$ 3,000) to have my permanent residency. If my partner was not Australian, I would simply have had zero chances of obtaining a long term residency permit in OZ.
I can only recommend to you guys to make the move, Australia is a wonderful country with wonderful people.
Try getting envato to sponsor your visa!
Good luck!More information here: http://www.immi.gov.au/Pages/Welcome.aspx
Thank you very much for your information Simon I really appreciate it – I am really glad you are loving it and having a great time down there, makes me want that even more!!
P.S. I was in Switzerland twice on a business trip for few days each time, it was lovely also!
Unfortunately, my fiancee is not Australian, she only got relatives there (her uncle with family). But we will definitely see what can be done about that!
And about envato sponsorship – I can only dream about that – Maybe if they hire 3DOcean reviewers I would grab it with my both hands and hold tight to it!
Looking forward to hearing what others might have to say
Lately, with the current situation in our country (Croatia), I was actively thinking and talking with my fiancee about moving to Melbourne. Taking into consideration that she got relatives “down there” that own a decently standing company and are overall in a pretty good position I guess that we could have it a bit easier with catching a good start (by that I mean having a place to stay, some global info, things to know, where to search, etc.)
Anyway, what I wanted to ask here is – Does anyone know how hard would it be to get documents for a permanent stay, considering that I am a self-taught 3D artist – freelancer and I would like to continue to work that way (for now and then maybe get a job in that field someday if I ever get one)? Currently, I am working in my country as an IT admin in a small company and doing 3D as a part-time/freelance. For my fiancee it is easy, she is a medical tech so she can pretty much get it instantly since from the info we got they are needed everywhere.
Or does anyone here needs a 3D guy somewhere in Melbourne?
I’ve mentioned this on previous threads, but I thought I should update this one too We’re in the process of doing a review of ratings. The current version of our ratings was never meant to be the last and final version. Part of our agile development process is that we want to get the tools in your hands quicker and then iterate and improve as we go. We’ve already completed some of the first steps and looked at a lot of the suggestions already mentioned in this and previous threads. We’ll need a few tools to be in place if we adopt some of the changes, so those will still need to be built. Just want to keep you updated Thanks!
Cheers Dog nice to have you here bringing something to hope for! Tnx!
