Thanks everyone, especially Ivor’s confirmation
lol That makes sense I didn’t think of that hahaha
When I submit a theme for review, can I specify the release date?
For example, if i submit it on 1 Dec and if it passes the theme review faster than I think, can i ask them to really release my theme on 1 Jan instead of automatically release it on the date the theme passes the review process?
Your portfolio is nice!
Thanks for your opinion also. I agree with the phrase “adding value to the theme”. But, i’m not so sure since i think buyers may perceive that integrating VC into the theme is already “a value-added”.
This question arises in my mind too before I found this thread “Why VC or page builder”?
Just curious that, nowsadays, all buyers will buy themes ONLY IF it’s integrated with Visual Composer/ page builder ?
Doesn’t the way to have advanced metabox options for building/customizing page template is not enough?
I’ve tried using VC also and my question is why do we have to let a plugin full controls the theme layout? Why does everything has to be shortcodes? (Sorry, I don’t like shortcode way)
I feel like VC and other page builders are like Lego but I don’t quite like it (I may be an old-school child who love clay rather than Lego) but I may be the only one don’t like it while others (including buyers) may disagree with me and change to love page builder already. (Let me cry alone please ;( )
Some buyers ask me also that my themes support VC or not? When I say no, one buyer said to me “Not good, I will buy another theme” ;(
A theme without VC/page builder will be automatically considered a bad theme?
I’d really like to ask buyers here also if VC/Page builder is the first factor for your decision whether to buy a theme?
HBD Envato! Anyways, I’ve just got only 2 themes in my portfolio, a bit sad T_T Got just 6 items sold with 100% commission so far
Don’t worry people – for some August is great, for some August is bad. Every month someone is posting in the forum that sales are low Here are my unofficial rules for sales:
-There are in general fewer sales during summer -sales are way down during christmas holidays -there is no more rule
@timberry: your theme looks amazing and the sales are quiet good for a theme released just two weeks ago! My personal opinion on why it might not does as good as you want it: it’s too expensive. Sounds strange but there are many other themes in the portfolio space that are cheaper. Maybe next time try to not include woocommerce etc options and only make it “ready” for those plugins. That will bring your theme down to 4x Dollars and make it more attractivebesides that: I really love it – great theme!
I think so. It’s all about summer time and holidays.
Thanks for advice. Yes, that sounds strange to me. Actually, I understand that buyers here usually love premium products with full options/features and 5x shouldn’t be too much. lol I may be wrong after reading your suggestion.
