One thing we authors could do is to add a little request for the buyers to show their creations if they want.Just a little line on your document or video tutorial…”Hey,i would love to see how you use this template!”

It’s also a very good source for learning to see you project in action,how you can design / improve them to work with any kind of ideas.

Can’t remember how i found Videohive,but i do remember visiting the site frequently after that.Talked about the site with my friends and asked their opinion on “Should I give it a go?”

Had a bunch of animation experiments sitting around on my hard drive and it took me about a month to decide whether or not i want other people to see these,mostly because i was afraid of a “This sucks!” feedback.Cleaned up a few of the projects,added documentation and uploaded.Rest is history.

Videohive has been perfect for me.I’ve never considered myself anything near a “Professional” I just love experimenting.I love the “different” stuff and i just LOVE to reveal logos in different ways. Never thought i could make money from something i gladly do for free.

Don’t know if we have the same problem,shows me the current rate properly but nothing about how much i need to sell to make it to the next level.

I also suggest you upload alternative previews of your items to Vimeo and YouTube. Mention your newly approved files on Twitter,Facebook…whatever there is nowadays.

It’s a good idea to get the promoting going right from the start,that way you get a good work flow for your projects and the promoting of them afterwards.

I use Youtube to promote my files

You have to let us in on your secret.I can barely get a few views on my videos not to mention the amount of clicks…i think like 2 a month

This months stats: 3500 Clickthroughs – 55 Registered members – 31 Deposits. You have plenty of clickthroughs so i guess the target audience is wrong.

I advertise on a After Effects related site and just started a new campaign on a general design / freelance site,so far the results have been good.Click-through rate is around 0.5%

The ads are directed to my portfolio page instead of a certain project or the main page of Videohive.

Would love to hear from other advertisers,i know you’re out there
