Happens to me as well…

This is how I see things: if your work is accepted on Envato marketplace, it means that it’s “good enough”, ie the appropriate level of quality is recognized by review staff. If it got sales, even better, because the quality has been recognized and approved by buyers as well. And if you dislike it now, after a month-two-six months or year or more, while you look back at it from the current perspective, it is actually the best thing to happen, as it means that you’ve improved a lot! After all, life is all about that: constant education and improvement ;)

Currently munching pretzels while I’m reading the forums and waiting for a friend to arrive. Then we’ll have beer :D:P

slightly related. what about showing a list with how many authors each country has.

that’d be nice… +1

but, then, many other minor stuff are constantly overlooked by Envato staff and devs (for example, list of followers or people you follow), so don’t get hope for it to appear any time soon :)

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against one additional country in a list… But, then, wouldn’t it be the same like asking for all 50+ US states to be added separately? I’m sure there are other examples like this in the world… Imagine the chaos that’ll make :)

This is interesting.. do you think some authors could go exclusive here, buy an extended license for their own items to sell them elsewhere (in none-exclusive this time, as the other marketplaces does not allow that…)

Actually, if you read carefully, it says that you may only incorporate the file (for example, music) you bought into a larger work. Examples: you buy sound effect, incorporate it into music and sell elsewhere… Buy music, incorporate it into video project, sell elsewhere… Buy graphics from GraphicRiver and/or photo from PhotoDune, incorporate it into a website and sell the whole “package”...

It’s not allowed to buy music and resell it like that…

At least that’s how I understand what I read.

It’d be best if I/we can see the actual video, or at least the parts that need sound effects. Actually, that’s the only way we can match the sounds to your video. Otherwise, you can look at my portfolio, maybe you can find something suitable.

I don’t think that’s allowed…

What you could do is include the part with the “riff” as a separate loop (or shorter version of your track) and offer it inside the main archive. That way, you would have a material to show in preview, ie first the shorter version, and then after it the version of original length. At least that’s what I did a few times.

A better way is to upload your favorite item at the end, as the final upload. Isn’t it easy? :)
But the best way is to upload one item per day or 12 hours … I don’t think we need additional buttons :)
Actually, that doesn’t quite work as planned, because sometimes different reviewers get to my items at different times, which switches their order. Also, uploading one item per 12 hours is not efficient for us, SFX people :) imagine me uploading my 700+ items portfolio with that tempo :D

I like okanakdeniz’ idea, but unfortunately I doubt it’ll happen any soon, because we all know how busy Envato devs are…
