I just noticed small info-box in the upload form which mentions maximum file size as 3GB (instead of 1GB). Any official word on this?

Hocemo li i mi da se organizujemo i okupimo – prvi put u istoriji? :))) (prethodni pokusaj nije uspeo, jer nas je “uhvatila” zima i savladala lenjost… :) )

@Collis: is there any way we can get “back” a simple Statement, which shows (only) exactly how much we actually earned (after all fees and what-not)? Now, even if we use the “sales” filter, it still shows the amount before author fee gets deducted; statement page is cluttered with 2x”items sold” number of lines which are basically useless on their own because they just repeat and could easily fit in a single column in the table, instead of taking up row after row… Also, it became a part of the data available in API, so third-party tools we use are also becoming cluttered and unusable. Any chance to see some improvement on this?
This might be a bit tricky because of the way the statement page has been designed in the system. We’ll see what we could do, especially with respect to linking through to the API – as I think this is the kind of view that is best done by an API tool.

Thanks for the answer. If it is at all possible, please try to find the way to make it less cluttered. It is becoming painful to look at that kind of statement, especially with 20-30 sales per day… ;)

hey envato,

it started like a never-ending love story, after a long night i found you in the internt and couldn’t resist to try your services, It was awesome as a customer, i found professional templates who helped me to get work faster done and after a while I discovered to sell my on stuff and suddenly the love story slowly changed.

My first items got through the approval without any complications, it was like doing this with fun, uploading items, buying them and finally earning some money but after a while it got even worse. In real life, the most of my items are shot with a normal dslr, a canon 600D and there’s even one iphone video as stock footage.

In the last time I uploaded really really crazy footage in FullHD recorded on a sony fs700 and it got all rejected. Not even this last try, there were a lot of before who got rejected. If it would be shit footage – i would understand but after more than 300 items i tried to upload, and the most of it in very good quality – i think theres more than it.

why are you rejecting so often ? more items means more money for you too, we’re all here because of this one thing, earning money – that’s what should keep us together and not rejecting the most of my submissions. I more and more start to hate this place with every item who gets rejected more

I have a VideoHive portfolio around 50 times bigger than yours, so I can tell you: it won’t become easier… Maybe it even becomes harder, especially when you get to know the criteria and existing items and the need… and then your footage still gets rejected for reasons like “not commercially viable”

But the thing is, the more of the content is submitted in general, the more reviewers VideoHive has to hire. And with different people, there are different opinions and different kind of actions in some “gray area” situations. I’ve had a number of conversations on this topic with people from VideoHive management, but unfortunately the conclusion is that this can never be solved completely.

What can be solved are the soft-rejections for bad watermark, wrong data entry or similar technical issues, once VideoHive automates the upload process a bit more.

P.S. For your particular case, as others pointed out, it’s best if you upload some preview of your footage so that we can see and maybe give you some opinions. Without that, this conversation is still in the abstract area…

My oldest item in the review queue is currently 6 days “old”. I guess there is bigger quantity of submitted items, plus it was weekend, so that’s why it’s been slow reviewing time, I’d guess.

I suggest you to remain patient for a few more days, as I’m sure it’s going to be reviewed any time soon. If it doesn’t happen in the next few days, then contact the support, of course.

As long as total size of final .zip package does not exceed 1gb, you can include in it the same video clip in different codecs. But don’t forget to mention that in your item’s description, because in the technical data you can select only one codec from the drop-down list.

As far as I know, it is not allowed to upload them as separate items if the only difference is the codec.
