Wow, this is great! :)

Any chance you could also include cropping of images? It’ll be of great help for the process of creating thumbnails for the upload process at VideoHive.

A hint for the Earnings page… Could you please reverse the months for Sales, Graphs and Referrals, so that the current month is on top.

Now that Envato is providing some kind of data (via icons) about marketplace from which the sale was achieved, is it possible for somebody to implement some kind of pie-chart-like statistics in percentage per month – it would be very helpful to see what part of sales/earnings came from which marketplace (for multi-marketplace authors).

I hope I was not too confusing with my explanation above :D

Finally! Thanks! :) I’ve been looking forward for this for a few years now :)

Question: since this is just a part of the improvements, can we expect some detailed statistics (similar to Envastats) in future? Like, percentage of sales distribution per marketplaces (in given time period)? Maybe like an addition to the “Earnings” page, instead of the “Statement”?

P.S. Envastats already had some bugs before this – wasn’t calculating sale reversals and was showing wrong numbers.

| .. Because it can easily be misused as a trick to get to the front page over and over again with the same project
Seriously…? Someone would go through all this trouble to upload all the preview/zip/thumbnail files, wait a week…have it accepted, delete it, and do it all again, Just to get on the front page for 1 or 2 days ?

There are people who bother to check out many authors and follow them just to appear among 9 shown followers. And they re-check profiles again and again and if they are out of the list, they unfollow and follow again, just to re-appear among top 9. So, believe it, some people will do anything to get their attention (not realizing that it’s bad for them…)

I suggest you to watch the “Everything is a remix” series of videos (first one: http://vimeo.com/14912890). Basically, even if you have your “original” idea, you still can’t really prove it how you came up with it, and as it often happens, your subconscious picked up things here-and-there and so your idea was born. It is very tricky to deal with ideas, because they are interpretable in so many different ways.

I agree that selling ideas would be very useful sometimes, because many authors come to a point of “writer’s block”. But it is very tricky and complex to implement this kind of marketplace.

Maybe there can be a part on the Forums where people can share their ideas freely. But, then, if somebody else is already working on the same/similar idea (which is not impossible), then how can he/she prove that it was in development before they saw the Forum post? Ideas are too generic – end product is what matters and what differs.

I wish i could witness the beauty of the beast but i guess my eyes are not one of the chosen ones .. yet :p

Restart your Internet traffic router, it might help (depending on the configuration of your ISP).

One things for sure. This discussion has certainly polarized the community.

I don’t particularly see the point of The Sales Monitor (’’last month was a slow month for me/Jan was a great month for me/blahblah) – So What – ??!!

But nonetheless, i am fully for it, and it has just a right to be there as a thread by someone celebrating their achievement.

Live and let live.

If you don’t like a thread. Don’t read it. Simples.

Then imagine this scenario: instead of in the theme “The Sales Monitor”, everybody starts opening new threads just to express their opinion on sales. It’d be very bad for the forum usability, wouldn’t it? Well, the same thing happens now with milestone posts.

I don’t mind people marking their milestones, sharing with us/others – I even did it, and I also often drop in to say my congrats to the person when the milestone is significant – but sometimes there are too much separate threads which clutter forum and throw the more important topics off the 1st page.

I’ll agree with what a few others said: choose Asus, because they are generally more reliable; I’ve heard so many bad experiences with MSI laptops (and other devices as well). At least that’s what I’d choose if I had these two options.
