Just trying to be considerate. We submitted for review and are hoping for the best and expecting the worst. We’re expecting to be reject, but hopefully with some good feedback. Thanks for your help, we did our best to make the preview content sensible as well.
I’d buy you a beer, but….Cheers!
Thank you for the beer, I do not drink it, only red sweet wine on Saturdays:)
First, do not expect the worst. If you expect the worst, worst happens. Second, I wish you good luck in submitting and if it fails this time there is always a next try. In the end it will succeed, no doubt. If you will need some concrete help from me you are always welcome to ask, maybe I shall be able to advise something valuable:)
Hello, difficult to say anything before demo is filled in with content, but there are few things I would mention anyway: there are fine things and there are thing which 9to my opinion) yet require working on.
I like your mega menu design (grey with interesting background image) while buttons are too grey (as if “disabled” state).
On the footer, widget titles are too big to my eye, maybe try smaller font-size, see how it looks.
Judging on one-page version (which is currently, though, in total disorder) it is going to be something good but again without seeing completed demo it is hard to judge.
Wish you good luck!
Hello, I would be glad to get some help in understanding of this rejection reason:
“Please make sure you properly prepare your data for $wpdb, check out the following presentation – http://envato.d.pr/10fDJ/6e9m78Al
What exactly I am supposed to do? Could somebody explain me in details? Screenshot is not available, what is written in articles above –where should I put all this?
Thank you very much in advance! Tanya
Hello, I would definitely change peach colours (reminds me somehow old ladies with their specific fragrance:)
Probably it is worth to darken photo background (it is too obtrusive and draws away from main content (for my eye).
And something wrong with typography (line-height or rather paddings)–texts look too tight. Wish you good luck with submitting!
Hello, I think it is very well done. Very interesting and fresh navigation. Excellent contact form.
I think it is difficult to distinguish between portfolio and blog once you are on Home page, they are mixed as if in one block. I am not sure it is good idea. Layout itself seems me confusing–what refers to what, what is what. Maybe it requires some hierarchy and division.
I would definitely change blue background on the blog–it is hard to read anything. I would definitely work more on styling html tags like headings, paragraph, lists and on typography in general. Right and left margins on blog post seem me too wide.
I am not actually a right person to be asked about this very design style, me personally is not a fan of this coloured boxes style (it was in fashion for some short period of time if I remember correct, metro?). But I see people who leaved comments above appreciate it a lot, so you may ignore this my note.
Wish you good luck!
Fine clean work, it’s so pity it was rejected. Me too have no many suggestions, there is (almost) nothing to fix to my opinion, apart tech. things mentioned above (validation, form error). But as for me, no animations are required here, true–it is a big trend nowadays, but in CV it might be just annoying.
The only thing is maybe typography?–on “address, email, phone etc” block? And making short description under “Graphic and Web Designer” bigger? It’s same font-size like on the info block, I would make it bigger + with smaller line-height (kind of hierarchy). Maybe add hover state on Submit button?
