Hello, since I do not see any item for sale on your profile likely it was disapproved for sale. If you did not get notification to your email inbox, try to look into your spam folder, probably the message from ThemeForest is there.
Hello Johnathan, I like your animation idea, now it is even more entertaining and interesting. But execution is still not good. What me would recommend:
1) Improve your waves, they are jagged, make them smooth
2) Try another font, the one you use is still not the best one
3) Something should be done with navigation menu, it is still amateurish
4) Replace “v” with maybe arrows down/up, the down symbol/icon you currently use looks like a letter “v” and it is confusing
5) Remove weird bottom border (or I do not know what is it) from form, social block and arrows boxes
6) Try to do something with arrows box(es)–either it is too big or non-proportional or too transparent or it sits in wrong place or all together or whatever else but it does not look great
I think if you will manage to make the content itself more accurate and better executed there are all chances to get it accepted, at least this is my opinion. Wish you good luck and hope my notes will help.
Yes, it is what I use quite for a couple of years since the tutorial was published here: http://webdesignerwall.com/tutorials/css-elastic-videos and it works perfectly. Just I changed a little css to:
.video-container {
position: relative;
padding-bottom: 56%;
width:100%;
height: 0;
overflow: hidden;
}
Removed padding-top in px at all and changed padding-bottom to 56%.
Hello, yes, I am agree with the above said. The reason might be in the lack of uniqueness and /or features. Reread the review, if it is so you will find this phrase in your review. Overall, very clean and accurate work but nothing particular about design. Wish you good luck with rework and resubmission!
Even with Google translator it should be entuziazmom – absolyutno…
Hello, of course you may re-submit the current template after you improve it significantly. The phrase “isn’t ready for ThemeForest and cannot be resubmitted” does not mean you cannot resubmit it ever, it means you cannot resubmit it without improvements.
The main issue is design, definitely. I did not look into your code but it is better to check it too, and if you find some faults improve it as well. But more important issue is design. You have already got a number of valuable advices what and how to improve, so wish you good luck in further work!
Hello, Envato rules forbid submission of a work based on tutorial. Regrettably your one is the case. It is identical to this tutorial: http://tympanus.net/codrops/2013/04/23/fullscreen-layout-with-page-transitions/
The difference is only in that in Mary Lou’s demo the section titles smartly have cursor:pointer and have no default scroll bars.
You will need to create your own work, this one will not pass. Wish you good luck in your work!
Hello, you need to test your work also for desktop resolutions higher than 1366px and in various browsers as well (see what is going on in Opera).
Besides, mind multiple spacing issues.
I am not going to discuss the uniqueness, it is subjective matter, however, I agree with reviewer’s note–there is a plenty of similar items available already and probably you will need to add something very special to make your work stand out. Wish you good luck in further work!

When you say give more space for the blocks, do you mean, above and below, or at the sides or both?Typography is still a bit of a mystery to me, i know about vertical rythm and other concepts but i have trouble nailing this part of designs.
( haha i would have included varg i’m a big fan of his work but i just added what came to my head first, it’s cool to see you run a record label btw)
Hello!
What I think is that there is a disbalance between the width of each of 3 columns and mass of content per column and per block. In simpler words: columns are narrow and long, headings are massive and long (3 lines sometimes). So, you can resolve it by 1) decreasing headings font-size or 2) go traditional way: split the layout into main box (66%) and sidebar (34%). Thus you will bring it to the more balanced look. Another issue: blocks inside columns sit too close to each other and since they look overfilled with content (in theory it is ok (picture, heading, small portion of text, bottom line with meta is a normal set per standard block) while on practice the block looks as if it has too much of everything)–everything is too tight as if you are stingy about vertical space (but why, it is infinite?:)))
I think if you will choose better font for headings and make headings smaller (font-size) the page may quite look better. I would definitely increase global paddings (4% or 40px per left/right/top/bottom), I actually would start from this–global layout structure with balanced paddings–then blocks–then typography for blocks (once again–give some more space in between headings and content, in between content and bottom block with meta and so on)–then filling it with pics and all other details.
A word about icons–I would use simple mourning black icons (for this you will need to make general background a shade lighter) and remove iron cross, yet roughly gradiented, not even because metal heads borrowed it from Nazis but because it is over-over used.
And thank you for paying attention to my another occupation, me and my husband are thinking about opening black metal department, do not know whether it will happen in the end but we are planning:)))
So wish you good luck in further work, and if you are very serious about this submission, will not stop, will keep working on it but will need more advice, write me to email. Tanya.
Hello, a couple of notes from my side. Good idea, not good execution.
Design is very outdated, it is done in vein of old Terrorizer (their current re-design is also not super but somehow acceptable) and EMP catalogue, but well, decades passed, you need modern approach. Fonts, icons, layout–all is dated. Try to remake it keeping the spirit but applying modern methods of design. Dark layout-ed, well-designed magazine templates are not in abundance, might be in demand.
Remove this type of Fractur for the logo, everyone in the scene is tired of it (believe me), it is overused, you can try another typeface which will still fit your theme style. Try to give more space to the blocks, everything is too tight and crowded. And of course, as always, big attention to details is needed. Work on footer as well, now it is unfinished. Pay big attention to typography.
Wish you good luck in further work! (and where is news about Varg? or everyone lost an interest after his release from the prison?–well this is just aside, do not pay attention:)))
