as far as I know you get 30% of the first transaction of the buyer.
So if he deposits/buys in value of 100$ when is referred by you, Envato pays you 30$. Author gets his share so there is nothing deducted from author earnings.
Its Envato’s promise not authors.
The referral process, pays only for 1st transaction of the referred user.
So every referral cut is paid by Envato.
Hope I was clear
recently Envato implemented the checkbox and explaining label to purchase flow, so the buyer by checking the checkbox was about to Order the installation service by any Envato Studio service members which do offer Express installation of themes plugins. You can read more here: http://marketblog.envato.com/releases/new-envato-studio-express-services/
The process of requiring this installation service is made really clear to buyer.. However there are still people who can not adopt with the changes and do not read everything.
Hope this makes you clear what is going on
Finally, it seems you’re back on track.
Congratz to him going this far amazing idea.
The golden age of Flash player, I kinda like the way Envato guys dived into freelance industry Then Flash, later they focused on Themeforest and I’m curious which thing will be the fruitful one except Studio which connects authors to clients
Its good to adapt with the trend and try to fit client needs in a stable and clear way. Its just the reviewers pop out new rules day by day.
Personally I think they should have a blog where we can understand their perspective how we could shape better our products and not be surprised of nightly decided new rules. Reviewers should have a connection to authors more properly. Each time we get a review state it pushes the publishing time up to 5 days which causes a lot of time and money loss.
On the end of 2014 there was a rush of how Envato was doing things for authors and they suddenly stopped to comply EU Vat.. But its been 4 or 5 months since then.. I wonder how long we should suffer since the rate system changes, support tooling arrives, bugs here and there get solved and finally Envato gets its attention back to the authors..
Comparing to a lot of hard rejected templates I find it awkward how it got approved. It is a nice design… But there is a big injustice to other trendy hard rejected templates.. At some point reviewers are failing it. And opening a support ticket doesn’t help at all. Its a nightmare for a project to be approved only by reviewers (at least the process of hiring a review member should be better)..
