Hi, you should work on the typography.. It look odd.. Improve the typography and the overall design.. You should work more on this project.
+1 for the typography issue, the next most important is the main navigation, it feels incomplete. You’ve got the mega menu which is great but you didn’t specialize it, perhaps use some images there..
In my opinion you’ve overused the parallax, it would be good to have it more rare here and there. Its nice to have the feature but it distracts the user from the core concept of the theme..
And finally you must give a unique overall touch to the theme otherwise it feels like prestahome says, too many themes like that..
Wish you succeed on this one
in this page https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202822450-WordPress-Theme-Submission-Requirements of Envato submission requirements it says:
“The theme needs to be widget ready in all advertised locations.”
So in my opinion if you don’t advertise widget areas and the theme as widget ready, you don’t have to use/support widgets.
But its highly recommended to use widgets, as there are plenty of people out there who are used to use them often..
This is what I get based on the page content mentioned above, otherwise they should state it clearly!
Congratulations with your project. I just sent a few comments there..
Hi there fuelthemes,
as far as I know reviewers request from you only to escape the dynamic data STORED by user, which always are risky to print out without escaping them because they can break the site easily.
I believe you don’t have to sanitize the template directory constant you define for your theme..
Hope you complete data sanitizing soon
Its just how everyone of us deal with review process.
Sometimes they point out some bugs, where by fixing them you create or by mistake create a new one. But review process assures quality of item. Which is nice.
Also we have a fresh theme on queue, waiting for reviewers for the 8th time.
If you’re more frequent on uploading themes you’ll be more aware of main issues reviewers look at.
Soft rejections are given mostly because of small details, but the most important issue is to pass the Theme Unit Test, http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Unit_Test which assures your theme can provide basic functionality, serving content with no glitch without relying on any bundled plugin.
There is a simple flow explained on this image http://i.imgur.com/pUZ3sYM.png it really helps.
And never give up , not bothering reviewers but improving your work.
This item will not be approved. Check the wordpress themes and compare with your item. This item is not ready. Read some articles about web design trends and improve your theme.
I know. Just to be honest I was comparing it with Avada (why not), and I see the thing. But I will keep, you know I’m new in this area and I will get it someday! Thanks for your reply!
you’ve got great spirit on this one, don’t forget to take some courses on http://tutsplus.com
In this stage of your item on the A step
you’d fall on Hard reject easily.
Keep up the hard work and don’t give up.
Congrats man, u deserved it for sure. I see your responses almost on each thread
Well no matter how much Envato test on the development mode features they release bugs always come up. They need some review process too
Unless I’m missing obvious sarcasm, it’s not a bug, it’s clearly coded that way on purpose. * shrugs *
As far as I know, all items are meant to be listed on home page, categories they belong and when you browse by different filters like date uploaded, sales etc.
If some items would be hidden on purpose that’s the end of this community and Envato purpose itself..
MhW saidIts not the first time people complaining their item not being listed.. http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/my-latest-item-doesnt-appear-in-wordpress-category/165317
Thanks for bringing this up, I’ll raise it internally with our Dev TeamChristian
Why you reply like its the first time ever?
How hard could it be to solve that bug once forever?
