You can use any out there, just buy the image and then you can use it in your preview files but not in the main download.

Or you can use Envato Assets. Again only in the preview files.

What do you then? If you decide based on this how much time you dedicate to ThemeForest then I think you need to change your thinking.

If it’s not good and you still dedicate a lot of time into your work then eventually it will be good.

Attention to detail is lacking in your design. Look at your slider navigation, the circle and the arrow. You see that the arrow is not evenly spacing within the cirlce?

I suggest you dedicate time to polish your skills.

I would not upload it without making significant improvements. Just compare it to the latest item in the PSD category.

Your skills shows me that you have a basic understanding of the software and I would say it’s basic understanding in webdesign.

Need a lot more to learn.

You say that this is your first design. If i look it that way then it’s promising.

But this is not the ThemeForest PSD category quality.

For now just keep an eye of ThemeForest and focus on improving your skills.

I think this is a good example of a similar idea.

this has a similar noisy background as well but the execution here is done well.

I think that it is really a unique approach but the author executed it badly and that is why it should have been rejected and not only because of the noisy bg (which I think it’s disturbing but it’s an error page, it has to show that somethings wrong so the idea is good, execution is very very bad and below themeforest quality)

there must be some kind of benefit to them, like to the elites have with the 70%

the top buyers who are spending a lot should qualify for some sort of discount. or extra credit. something.

I am not an expert but I think that there are a lot of things that Illustrator can’t do and Photoshop can.

Of course I see your point clearly and there are simple designs which could be done in Illustrator, even If I look in the PSD category I can see a few designs which are very easy to duplicate 100% with it.

And in the last few years adobe worked hard on unifying the UI for their apps so that would make the transition easier today.

But some designs using subtle light, texture effects which I am not sure is possible with illustrator. I don’t know about Fireworks.

But I am also interested to here about this from the experts.

About retina graphics, I think that the bigger size in the graphic assets for the websites which are necessary for making them retina display ready is currently not worth it since it’s to early to adapt to a small (but fast growing) userbase, it would be nice to see a stat about this.
