My template is rejected with following message

Unfortunately as this file does not contain adequate help documentation it cannot be approved at this time. Help documentation is a requirement for any items in ThemeForest. Help documentation should be provided as HTML or pdf file within the main zip file, provide helpful instructions on editing and use, and include links to any fonts or other assets used.

But the zip file has documentation in help folder, please help.

  1. Zip file structure
  2. help

Our theme was rejected with the following pointed issues

The design needs a lot more of work in terms of aesthetics:

  1. Your forms needs to be polished and aligned.
  2. Gradients look dated and simplistic.
  3. Overall template typography needs additional refinements and improvements before it will be ready for ThemeForest.
  4. The color scheme of your design needs more tweaks to make this file more unique and original by using a more sophisticated colour palette.

After that we did some improvements in the aesthetics and short listed 4 versions with different colors, padding and spacing values, please have a look at and help us to understand which one is better.

There is a contact us popup form with Google map to show the address, Please click on top contact link, I think we’ve to remove it from main menu.

just checked your pages, i am sorry, havent seen them earlier but still you r missing a contact page, the business you choosed requires deffinitly a contact page and the buyer will buy a theme will deffinitly look for it and also increase the line heights between the pharagraphes and watch out for white-space

Hey Guys! First of all I thank you guys to participate in this thread, I did some research and following are the points which I would like to modify in the next version,

  1. Gradient on menu and headings as preferred by @RubenBristian.
  2. Increasing the size of main menu by 20 px in height.
  3. Re-designing the main slider by using the paralax effects.
  4. Shifting Lets welcare Know form in main slider.
  5. Reducing the space between tabs.
  6. Putting white background between tabs to cover the empty spaces.
  7. Updating the forms element in tabs area.
  8. Redesigning the events widget.
  9. updating the “our services” and “blood availablitiy widget”.
  10. Replacing the donation widget completely with new design.
Please advice am I on right track?

The template is multipurpose and I tried to cover most of medical industries so buyers can easily use it according to their requirements, there are some advanced features like symptom checker and profiles pages which will be included in wordpress version. I did lots of research before starting the design.

@wpnukes, as a buyer I think you are on the right track. The home page looks a little too busy imo as it seems that you’re trying to be all things at once. Who is the target audience of this site, patients, medical professionals, medical suppliers, all? The theme has a nice corporate feel without being too stuffy. Lose some elements of clutter. With good navigation on the homepage all inner pages will be found so everything doesn’t have to be in your face to get found. I always advise authors making niche themes to research the niche by actually paying a visit and gathering some intelligence. So visit a medical center/small hospital and talk to some doctors, nurses and patients, then configure some pages to suit. This theme has potential to be a big hit, just needs more thought and polish.

  1. Doctors profile page
  2. Blog listings
  3. Blog details
  4. Video detail
  5. Gallery
  6. Gallery with sidebar
  7. typography
Many thanks for your boost up.

sorry but, what you try to put in the themeforest market place is a template which i would not be calling bad but only 2 pages there, blog and home page, you did not make even a contact page, if the buyers were expert enough to create so many pages themselves, why should you spend money and buy somebody’s work? think wise please, if it was so easy, i would have got at least 1000 templates accepted by themeforest and be rich by now, themeforest is themeforest because of rejections, remember that, i uploaded only one template in a year time, not that i could not finish more, of course yes, in my real life,i look after my family by building websites but my latest project i am working on, when i put it next to the first one i uploaded and compare, i have a big laugh on my face because of the fun i have from what i wanted from kailoon when i uploaded my first template, no way, that template should never be sold between so many amazing works, even this new one i am not sure about, take a look and understand themeforest quality and be happy mate here is what i am not sure about; Turuncu Business Template so dont be sad with a rejection, that s gonna bring an improvement into your style, by the way i did like some features of your template, you have got the soul of an author mate :D just keep it up, one day you will have the goal ^^

@SomniaThemes

Hello,

Yah you’re right after so much hard work I was a bit down with rejections but many thanks for your encouragement. A small request as you’re experienced guy please let me know which areas need improvement. thanks once again.

Hello,

Your first rejection is also a hard rejection. It is only a soft rejection when the file is already on the marketplace (hidden though) and you just have to edit a few things (for example, with our latest upload we got soft rejected because we forgot to contain image replacers).

The only advice I can give you is to look at your design and what you can improve. Browse trough ThemeForest and look at the quality standards. I know it’s hard in the beginning and your motivation will probably be down quite abit, don’t give up though! We got rejected three times on our first item and in the end your item will only get better and then suddenly you realise: “Hey, they were right!”.

@RubenBristian

Thanks for your reply mate. What you think about the improvements needed in the first version.

@dmsumon .. you didn’t look at the previews man! chill out :D

@wpnukes .. your first version is clearly a lot better than the second one! I think you’ve gone backwards with the changes mate. You made it worse .. The first one had a bit of character .. The second one is simply plain . I suggest you go back in the first one and improve it!

Good luck! :)

Dmsumon, Thanks for your quick reply,

Honestly as this is my first item so I don’t have any communication experience with a reviewer about soft and hard rejection. My knowledge is completely based on written material of themeforest.

As per my knowledge at themeforest, the hard rejection is the one in which they tell us clearly that we’re sorry we cannot accept your item at all, but in soft rejection they tell us to do some modifications in it and the same thing happened in my case, so I assume that it was soft rejection but the word soft rejection was not written.

Any help related to the improvement of item would be appreciated.
