I dont remember them ever reveling that kind of information to us mortals.
Yes they did, now and then Collis announces that they had broken a monthly record sale. But i didn’t hear anything since the price increase so that’s why i wanted to know.
They don’t have to show the exact numbers, only if the numbers are better then before the price increase or worse
We would appreciate if we could receive an official reply about the sales stats if you don’t mind Envato.
Get a dog and start walking 3 to 4 times a day, refreshes the mind when your able to go outside and run/play a little with your dogs for a moment.
Is it possible for the Envato management to give us some sales statistics from the moment the price increase has kicked in.
Don’t want to hear anything about the quality of the items anymore here since that’s not the reason i’ve started this thread. Just wanted to know the before and after state.
Just to find out what the issue is because buyers think the price is just to much and they look for cheaper solutions or is the competition getting bigger and bigger because of the price increase.
pixelentity saidI’ve always hated the positioning of the featured items. It’s the #1 real estate spot on the homepage and often includes average selling items. I’d replace the whole thing with top selling new items. For example, you pool together all the items that were released for the week, and the item with the most sales gets the “featured item” spot.
Dream-Theme saidA featured item now gets 1 month of home exposure which is an insane amount compared to 1-2 days of newly approved items. Why not having 1 feat per day instead, with seven spots each item would be granted 1 week BF
One of our themes was featured. Now it’s off the homepage. Guys, I can assure you that homepage gives you MASSIVE sales increase.
No, they should indeed remove that featured of the week section and add a massive big search section. A search section which works and is smart on it’s own.
You don’t have to be on the homepage when the search function is top of the notch and well visible, not a small one in the top right corner or when you arrive inside the category page. A search function inside a stock site is essential and the most important part of the site.
So when they add a good and descent search function and put this in the frontpage where the featured items are placed then it would be a great improvement.
Then they can move the featured items to the bottom of the site and everybody is happy.
And the worst part in my opinion. Is that none of the management staff, or the ones responsible for running themeforest and other market places, are replying with their plans or whatever they are trying to do about this issue.
An official word from them will bring reassurance among us authors and buyers.
Congratz Chris. We also follow very soon. Great work m8.
Just reverse the price increase and raise the standards then the amount of sales will get up and the the amount of new items will be reduced.
@wptitans – Sometime back you posted some sales stats of your items where (at that time) you were doing ~ $400 per day. With the increase in price and influx of new themes has this changed by any magnitude?I know for most top authors the net effect of the drop in sales and increase prices isn’t really felt much. Would like to know though.
Yes, the daily sales amount have dropped along with the amount of sales.
