Ignore this comment as I have placed it by mistake.

I have already up-loaded my own site (purchased from ThemeForest) and for a number of reasons. I am still working on it and it needs a lot of work and effort but I feel it will be worth while in the long run. The initial trigger that made me decide to host a site is down to the launch of PhotoDune. I have some sky images that sell on GR as a pack but were individually rejected on PhotoDune within the first month of the site being launched. The reason given was not a quality issue but the fact that there were too many sky/cloud images already uploaded. That annoyed me a little as I have been around here from the first month of PSDTUTS being launched and preference was given to pro stock sellers with obviously no limits set. I know a lot of stock was needed to make the site launch viable and I have no problem with that but to find one area was already over populated with images within a few weeks is a bit ridiculous really.

I also give free files away on various sites which have links to my GR portfolio. I am now in a position (soon) where I can still offer free files and reap all the benefits myself. I will also be selling files that were rejected by GR for the simple reason that they are similar to other files I already sell. An example is I have three globe files and was told the limit is three files of a similar structure. On a number of occasions I have been asked if I could upload a file that holds say ten images as opposed to fifteen but due to the three file limit restriction I am unable to oblige and am missing out on possible sales. For some reason the three file restriction does not apply if you design flyers !!!!!!!.

I know for definite that my site has generated sales of my GR files and I have not even finished or promoted it yet. I will definitely not offer files that have been rejected by GR for quality reasons thus ensuring I am selling quality files. After all it is my head on the block. Any legal method of attracting potential custom is worth trying and my initial results are encouraging to say the least.

I also sell images with eight other photo stock agencies so I see no difference in doing the same with my other work. As the saying goes “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”. Just make sure you police yourself as vigorously as the GR staff do and your reputation can only grow.

Hi, I am working on a site to promote myself. I have some pages blank (top). The pages that drop down from the top pages have content which I am happy with. I would like advice/suggestions on the site as a whole, if it works , suggested ideas and that sort of stuff plus what could I do with the top pages. The only content at the moment is all my GR and PD files. I assume I cannot place a link here for members to have a look and hopefully give feedback so how do I get around this problem.

I have the basic structure of a WordPress website and would like to allow visitors to upload/download files. I have not got a clue about any of this sort of work. If any one is interested in adding this functionality to my site please get in touch via my profile page for further discussion on price etc.

I need a PS action converting from windows format to Mac format. If anyone who is familiar with making/adjusting actions on a mac and is interested please get in touch. Payment would be keeping a copy of the final file if that’s OK. I also have one or two more besides if things work out OK with this one.

Hi, I have just uploaded two of my actions to the Adobe Exchange. The files are my Jigsaw Puzzle Actions. No sooner have they gone live than I have had someone post negative feedback and comparing them with an established action which is free of charge. The person who has posted has NOT purchased the actions. If by any chance you have purchased one of these actions from me and rated it could I ask you to take a few minutes of your time to post on the same files over on the Adobe Market Place Exchange. All post’s would be appreciated. Please note you have to rate the files to post a comment. They can be found under the recently uploaded or the Photoshop Action links. Thanks in advance. XP1

I will definitely be posting HDR work in the near future so now I know I could upload elsewhere if they are not accepted here.

I e-mailed support with this very issue and I am still waiting for a reply from them. This thread has now answered my question. I think I will give support a miss and post on the forums next time around.

This should have been made clear in a post or thread somewhere unless I missed it completely.

Thanks for the clarification John.
