Hello guys,

Well i was very happy few days ago when i played with characters and a found a combination which is looks like a fish. I have made other ideas as well like crayon <)_) or with typo combination F)*WER and others but i dont want spread out all the raw ideas.

Unfortunatelly the < seems like not my first idea. There is a few similar key like this. The logo was accepted and its allready on the market, but i have some inconsistency regarding of this. There is no way to prove i did not copied of any of this, or i was not ‘inspired’ by those. But unforunatelly this idea is not unique and not the first under the sun.

Im 90% sure, i will remove it soon, but i would like discuss about this, because i think this is not the only one logo on the market which has similarity with others. What about those? What about the whole concept when buyers are already knows when they buy a logo, there will be (or already exist) owners with the similar logo?

Actual subject: [Link removed by Mod]

Similar logos found after: http://www.logomoose.com/logo-design/codefish/ http://www.asciifish.com/

And http://graphicriver.net/user/pezflash pezflash also have the similar idea. He said he using this logo since 1999 even before the ‘codefish’ and he honestly don’t mind if im gonna sell this, but my conscience dont let me just left the logo there for sale just like that.

Yes, your item is similar to the links you posted.

Fact is: Your item has been approved.

Any similarities to other designs is coincidence.

Good design flows from thoughts.

Well thought out!.

Congrats! Looks Great.

I wouldn’t worry about it unless some comes along and claims to own Trademark or Cop\trtight of it.

No one can have copyright over punctuation marks , or the alphabet for that matter! It’s how you use it that counts, and yours is used differently.

I think you should continue to sell it, it’s a great concept (and my favourite out of all your examples!)

There are many many templates for sale which share similarities with other logos.

It’s like Nike suing Sure because they both have a ‘tick’ as their logo/symbol.

Providing they are not exact replicas, you should be ok :)

The item is really well executed. I like it a lot, keep it!

Look at It this way: Everybody uses the same for chords to write a blues. Yours sounds better than the others, even though you use the same chords…

Cheers

Chris

I’ve been getting the same comments on my newest logo. They say it looks like Microsoft, which I was unaware of, but then when I google the logo, it looks nothing like the Microsoft logo. Then I do some research and find that the two people who comment my item, were in the item discussion forum crying about why their logos are not getting approved. I think they are just let down that their work is not getting approved and they wanna take it out on artists who’s work is on this site.

:) Could you give a link in private please? Because i have checked your logos 1 by 1 but i did not found which one could be the ominous Microsoft logo :D

I don’t think there is anything wrong with a character logo and you shouldn’t remove it, using a different font and different characters makes it different

@ xstortionist I think people are trying to say it looks like the Microsoft Outlook logo and to be honest there are some slight similarities.
