WordPress Theme is required & style.css missing

Hello Good People,

I’m new hare and a probable have a problem to upload wordpress theme. I read all page, documents, create all in .zip any think what need but still have a problem.

If I good understood for “WordPress Theme is required” all my file should be in directories name_wordpress_thame.zip/name_wordpress_thame/thame_files

css style it would be desirable to be located in the directory route threads.

Please help me if I’m wrong

You’ll probably need to buy the theme first

It’s almost certainly a very easy fix but you need to login with the account you purchased the file with-no buyer badge on you account here so noone can verify you paid for the file

Ahh sorry, your post was a bit unclear Here’s where we direct people for the missing stylesheet error: Solving broken theme issues, but you may want to search Google as well. You probably have the theme in the wrong location.

I think this is the key:

WordPress Theme style.css is missing Description header

Do you have a Description in your style.css header?

You also might want to run the ThemeCheck plugin on your theme if that is not what you’re already doing (unclear whether this is a file you’ve already submitted or not)

Also, make sure it’s “theme” (not “thame”) in the final zip you submit

Sorry KingDog there was a misunderstanding .

I have all what need in style.css, just official wordpress page, i have folder neme and in the folder I have folders “theme”, “screenshots”.

I use “ThemeCheck” and nothing was released as a mistake, the topic I tested both lokalhost and also on live hosting.

- Thumbnail – photo 80×80px

- Theme Preview – photo 590×300px

- Main File(s) – only “theme” folder where the files are stored in the installation, as shown in the above video tutorial name.zip

- WordPress Theme – the entire zipped folder where all the folders, “theme” “screenshots” “other” and all this under one .zip file.

Correct me if I’m wrong

After I posted the previous post, where I wrote that what I packed. I deleted everything and started again to upload. I filled it again and klknuo on “Upload” and everything went smoothly

Very interesting I must admit that the whole day trying to send a topic to Reviewer.

I am also getting this same error on a theme that DID buy. What do I need to look for? I’m very new to Wordpress and the themes.

Opps. I guess the error was the following.

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

Name Description Template is missing.
