Wonder if one day I will come to Codecanyon and it will be just one big bundle, and at the top a notification bar saying click here to view the website.

Badluck Brian doesn’t get included in that bundle too and he starts new topic complaining about the bundle :bigevilgrin:

If these things are never tested, it’s effect on sales will never be known.

Until coming to the Forums, I didn’t even notice it was available for 2 weeks, I was more interested in looking at the bundle contents – but that’s just me.

However, maybe increasing the bundle to 2 weeks will decrease the level of ‘urgency’ these limited time offers create and buyers will put off purchasing… and maybe then forget about it.

But again, unless it’s tested, we’ll never know which is more profitable.

Disclaimer: Yeah, I have an item in there.

It took more than a year me to sell 522 of my projects, but this bundle has taken 2 to 3 hours to sell 350. + 43 ratings :)

I bet if one of your items were included. You wouldn’t bother posting this thread :p
This psychology is what makes most of the authors to stay “shy” and prevents from complaining honestly. Look things from overall point of view than “one” person’s point of view. Most of the authors here making suggestions / complaints not for self benifits but for the stability of system.
Do bringing more traffic, more sales and more new users (buyers) are bad for the stability of the system?

If Envato manages to convey how many new buyers purchase the bundle and how many existing buyers purchase the same, there would be no question of stability about regular items sale. Even if there is a traffic boost (without sales conversion), still the loss happened on regular uploaders can’t be ignored.

Showing a $500/20 ratio discount bundle on top bar for 14 continuous days is not a joke. The damage made on apparent value of items will never be recovered.

The entire Bundle concept is continuously being negotiated. For example the price ratio used to be $300/30 now goes more than $500/20. Number of days changed from 4 days to 7 days and now 14 days. All the inclusions getting higher and higher and the participating authors of bundle gets less and less – which raises the question of whether the bundle really helps the traffic or just become a way of earning with competitive price just to hack against inside the marketplace items.

no, but seriously. 14 days?

never been a fan of the bundles. I understand they are a way of promoting the marketplace but I’m sure there are more awesome methods of marketing out there.

It looks to me that we are heading to a moment where there will be a permanent item called bundle.

a bundle for 14 days, is not quite a bundle. it suppose to keep the possible buyers in tension with a tight deadline, the feeling of rush to buy something what contain such assets that make the offer possible at that price just for few days…

what remain? to increase the number of “bundles” in a year? at two months a bundle of 14 days?

By the way, I see this as a little workout for buyers to push the “Purchase” button ;)

Which buyers? new ones are existing ones?

Marketing inside own house (with discount) is a good sign of inefficiency. The only possible benefit from inside-marketing I guess is making old – inactive buyers to come forward and start purchase again. This still requires knowing how efficiently this happens with numbers – only Envato knows; but can we blindly believe these guys as if they always monitor this and work accordingly? :impatient:

I’m pretty sure this bundle will not sell. Compare to the last Birthday Bundle the sales are very low. I think the sales will not be relevant after a week even with the banner on top of each marketplace.
