VF saidMostly for existing ones but it’s a part of business and can’t be ignored. A number of users like “2,578,132” would play an important role on self growth. We don’t own or manage websites as big as envato marketplace. They have experience with that but we don’t. So, it’s good to keep this in mind.
By the way, I see this as a little workout for buyers to push the “Purchase” button
Which buyers? new ones are existing ones?Marketing inside own house is a good sign of inefficiency. The only possible benefit from inside-marketing I guess is making old – inactive buyers to come forward and purchase again. This still requires how efficiently this happens – only Envato knows; but can be believe these guys?
Thank you for the enlightening. This solves everything, so the message to every author: Please assume that Envato knows/cares more than individual authors so we can go back to our work and just upload items like machines.
Bundles can be quite lucrative. I remember the first (or second) bundle, the sales were in the $200K range. That might have lured Envato into making more bundles to cash some money. Here is my suggestion:
1. One single birthday bundle which gets huge promotion. It’s supposed to sell a lot and limited to few days.
2. Permanent bundles. Items in bundles get no support and no updates. The bundles also get no promotion but there will certainly be an area to browse the different bundles. This can serve as exposure to many authors. Once the buyer like the item, they can buy it for support and updates. The bundle costs $20, so the buyer is more tempted to buy the stuff.
Once he buys, he gets to discover the items and if he likes, he’ll probably opt for updates/support.
As a vashikaran specialist, I will predict the following:
1. Thread gets popular
2. Staff or Collis reply saying we have nothing to worry about
3. Many authors thank Envato
I got an idea that might make everyone happy.
How about Envato continues to release these 2-week long bundles, but whenever a bundle is out, everyone is making 80-100% on their sales. That way, your sales may go down, but get evened out with higher profit.
Now that the 2 week bundle is here and likely not to go away before the 2 weeks duration, it would be interesting if people posted how well their items sold during this period.
A simple I’ve had more/less sales this month will do. Just so we have a general idea on how these bundles affect our sales.
