As a vashikaran specialist, I will predict the following:

1. Thread gets popular

2. Staff or Collis reply saying we have nothing to worry about

3. Many authors thank Envato
LOL

14 days is not a time frame that is related to the slogan “act fast!” here :D

This month it’s really slow, now with both Microlancer up and a 2 weeks bundle, let’s see how bad can it be :).

It really makes our sales down but anyway, the bundle includes great web templates! :)

I liked the bundles when they were a rarity. At that point they were something of an event. But I can’t imagine they have the same impact, when there’s pretty much always a bundle.

That said, Envato is essentially a discounter. Since a bundle is basically a major discount, on a site that’s already a major discounter, you could look at it much like an all year round sale. It’s a stealthy way of lowering prices.

My slight disappointment is that given Envato’s massive dominance and already unbeatable prices in this area, that there could be some marketing strategies other than discounting.

A coupon system for authors for example

I feel the same. For a well established service like Envato, it requires huge loss of self-respect to stick with discount based strategies as long term / permanent solution and expand that trick continuously. Myself being one of the contributor of bundle item 4 years back, I feel ashamed for my contribution that sets trend of relative-low pricing as attraction tool. :(

There are a dozen more technical/professional approaches to attract old / new buyers; we as a community proven just to stick with bundles and gifts; all sounds death of professionalism in terms of how we see the buyers as well as ourselves.
