I need someone to fix this design as talked about here on TF: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/horizontal-scroll-be-warned/20647?page=1#192760

I will pay by Paypal as soon as it’s completed (asap) . The design needs to align center no matter what the screen resolution and must work in IE6 ,7 and 8 and Firefox.

I will send the complete files to the ‘winner’.

This is spec work :O

Why not choose one guy to work with, instead of letting people doing it this way?

So let me get this straight you want someone here to fix it for you on the quick, and then you’ll pay them for it afterwards?

I think this site might help you http://www.no-spec.com/

I would choose one person to work with but don’t know anybody who can do this. It is kind of tricky to do.

I am willing to pay immediately after the job is done so’s I know it’s done right, unless the designer has already done something like this in which case I’d pay up-front. I don’t expect the designer to do it, send me the files then get paid. He/she can do it, send me a preview online an then I’ll pay, then he/she sends me the files.

There will be more work for whomever can achieve this.

I dont see what’s wrong with that. (??)

Well, you ask the community to do something for you, without the assurance of getting paid. Because I do know one thing, that you’re not going to pay every single person that’s going to do it for you, and that’s basicly what you’re asking. You’re not asking one person, your question applies to anybody willing to do the job.

If you’d have posted a request for someone that is able to solve your problem, and then confirm you’re going further with that single person, then it’s fine.

Suppose I’d do it, and I’d spend an hour on it, then another member of the community does the same thing in half an hour. I’m working, just to find out after an hour of work, that someone beat me to it. Which means I’ve wasted an hour of my time, and my time is worth money when I work. So, I’m wasting money.

If you’d (on the contrary) posted something like; “I have this problem, if you think you can fix it, please contact me or post your email below. Then we’ll talk.”
If you’ve then succeeded in getting someone to solve your problems, you can tell the others on the forum, so they’re not wasting time (=money).

There will be more work for whomever can achieve this.
Classic :D

Robby is cool, I am sure he would pay those 20 bucks :)
If I understood it, you want to find someone who is willing to do it, than letting him do it and than paying him right? Well, this is not spec work. You are choosing ONE guy who will do it right? So where is the problem guys? Seems like a legit business to me. But I guess most people here want the payment upfront, so don’t expect much interest if you don’t offer it upfront…

Looks like a bit of miscommunication. I think by “winner” Robby meant the person he chooses to do the job, not that he wanted everyone to race to do it and then whoever finishes first wins. Winner was just a poor choice of wording in this case. At least that’s the way I’m interpreting it :)
