3.5 only came out properly very recently – authors are aware of this and will no doubt release updates for their themes that resolve WP3.5 bugs in the next day or two.

In fairness, themes state what WP version number they support. So, an upgrade without consulting the author first might not be the best way forward in future.

really…. I have contacted the author: http://themeforest.net/user/peerapong

His, “Pete” response from Bangkok Thailand: “I am working on this issue and will release the update for WP 3.5 very soon.”

So what you are telling me is that if he does not provide an update, then it is my loss? I should simply purchase an new theme? Is this a scam?

I believe it is possible, as the support forum has not functioned in over 8 months.

I wouldn’t worry. He says he’s working on a fix, so there’s no reason to question that.

I am no WP guy yet, but I don’t understand why you had to update to WP 3.5 if your theme developer have not released any update yet. Let me guess.. you think the theme can automatically morph it’s code to fit the new wp version? No really what’s on your mind?

Exactly. Why are you blindly updating your WP version without checking the compatibility of the theme. The author has replied to you and told you the compatible release will be coming soon. What else do you want?

Yeah, let’s put the blame on the user.
