What about jQuery plugins, do these qualify as being “premium plugins” despite not living in the plugins category?

Looking Good!
nice and nice
I’m not an author, I’m a buyer, but…seeing that your goal for this contest is to promote a fresh new crop of ideas…perhaps you should extend your deadline? You said you spent “months in planning,” yet your contest period is a mere 6 weeks? And that’s assuming everyone who might contribute knew about it from day 1 and had ample availability during that brief period.
Sure, it’s a contest, but it’s also business, and if your goal is to get more new and substantial contributions for your inventory, that’s a tight window. You may end up just getting mostly what was already in the pipeline anyway. That could negate a good bit of your effort and the prizes you’ve set aside for this. I’d highly suggest you look into pushing your deadline out.

Yeah, I would like the date pushed out as while as I didn’t see it on day one, but they can’t change it now I believe unfortunately.
They have been advertising this competition for a long time before this thread was made. There were threads made here on the forum, numerous tweets made and a big announcement within the author dashboard for a long time before the competition ever started.
In fact the start date of the competition was pushed back a few times before this thread was made.

true that. author dashboard still has the old dates too:
FEB 26 Get prepared for a massive $41,000 competition - coming in March!
maybe they could do a “due to popular demand… we’re extending the competition so developers have time to submit more items!”

I would only want to extend the date if everyone was in agreement that they need more time. My instinct, though, is that it isn’t fair to those of you who have completed your items on time.
