Yes, I think about this marketplace. But always think that not so popular and narrow specificity for short round of peoples…

I do AE for some years; there is a lot in to it. First on VideoHive there are 2 sectors the loop video that every 2 minutes someone submit which have low sells and the AE projects which is what you want to get into.

The problem there if you want sells… better not use plug-ins, also all those files need to think of editable files so unique custom animation won’t sell good same as AD, also heavy files on rendering is a pain. But let’s say the other alternative is html 5 and i assume you want to make some side $$$ .

Well with html 5 i don’t need to tell you in the next year + you won’t be able to do much + all file there will probably look the same and the rate money there is low for now, and really now you need to make more galleries just in different coding cos` they don’t want to use flash and on top of this write 10 times of more coding just to move a shape from point A to point B, super boring if you ask me .

So since I know your style i think AE will be much more suitable for you, but mastering AE is not a walk on the park, if I strip the coding issue from Flash and AE …. I think AE is Harder and more on the curve learning then flash but it’s very visual on the making and more logic to work with.

Yeah I understand. I know some basis how to work with compositions, 3dlayers, mask shapes etc, but need to digg much deeper to make something cool files without any plugins. Thanx for info, I will think more:) And yes, AE more logic to work with ))

:sunglasses: WOW ! Only now see that I am in top! Cool! With compare in year ago, this november was a less sales, but little more earnings, because probably few new files I have now. Some numbers:

November 2010 409 Sales $1,6k

November 2011 361 Sales $1,64k

Its Great! But all the rest months in year is very low sales due to my seasonal animations. With lower sales tendency soon need to change my profession.. Retrain to night stricter and learn html5 probably? Ohh, I am too old for this.. Future is foggy..

Well, the dream for me is to sell enough of – whatever – to enable me to give up the freelancing and just design/build stuff for online sales. I’ll learn simply whatever I have to to achieve this goal. I was so excited last February or whenever I discovered Envato (purely by accident), but I have to say that all the talk about Flash sales dropping and people painting a bleak future for Flash has kind of soured the program for me, although I will probably continue to release the odd file, while learning and doing other things.

Like Kontramax, I sometimes feel like I’m too old for this :D

PS. Kontramax, if you need a bit of inspiration for learning AE, I’d recommend watching some of Andrew Kramer’s tutorials over at videocopilot.net. He was the guy to get me into AE, because he’s truly a master of his art and it’s also really entertaining watching his tuts too.
