Is it only me or is this a combination of levitation and display theme? :) Just my two cents

Yup lol, could have at least used a different font, color or placeholder styling (images and text).

Edit: Actually what’s different? :S

Hmm okay. I’ve obviously been too inspired by Levitation, I’m going to go away and have another crack at it. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll be back with an improved version =D

The differences are good though, have some faith in yourself :) , I like the post layout, with the vertical slider – definitely keep that.

Big mashup of kriesi’s work

A quarter of the templates on this site are structurally no different than Kriesi’s (who, by the way, wasn’t the first person to come up with such a layout- it’s universal and adaptable, so it’s a good general layout to use for a template).

The design is where you have to stand out with your templates, and I’m really liking what you have so far. I love the typography on the navigation, and I really love the detailed page you get when you click on an image in the portfolio section (lightboxes are really starting to get old, as they’re really getting to be just a lazy way to display images). Anyway, can’t wait to see the updated version, this is coming along really nice!

Okay I’ve taken on-board what you’ve said and come up with this. Its a prototype using css3 as I like to design in the browser, so you going to have to use a -webkit-browser to see what’s going on until I make it cross browser with images. (The contact page background will work properly when images are used.)

(theres also a fullwidth page that isnt linked anywhere yet)

What do you think of it now, and what further improvements can be made?

I have a few ideas, such as an accordion for the content in the about us page etc., but as someone said recently, Seeing the flaws in someone else’s work is easy, seeing them in your own is hard, so I want to hear your thoughts. Give ‘em to me =)

wow i just previewed the first link you gave and read through this whole thread and I must say the new version is very refreshing and I am excited to see it on the market places.. Love the designs for the home/about and portfolio/ The second version brings something new to the table and I like it alot.. perhaps maybe a footer would be nice but it is not needed. I love the excerpts I think every theme could use those.

Also I love the history idea on the widget sidebar.. and on the category sidebar I think maybe just maybe there is to much space between items vertically. I would love to know the 4 boxes on the homepage are widget ready and also I would like to see how the drop down boxes work.. but great work overall and get er done so I can buy it. :)

on second thought maybe the space between the list is not to much as maybe the line between is to light.

The new version is very good, although I preferred the lighter buttons/headers/links etc.
