I read Keyboardman’s post from 4 months ago and his question was a bit different. Here’s what I’d like to do:

On my business/personal site I would like to roll running updates of when I publish new tracks to AJ. When I do so I would like to provide previews of my files like the pages on AJ have with the player. The reason I believe this would be helpful is that my clients can be exposed to this material and be compelled to visit and purchase tracks as they might not otherwise.

Here’s the questions:

1) Is there any problem with snatching the flash player with my tracks and embedding them in my blog page as new track announcements? Of course the link would lead to the AJ page that it’s contained on.

2) If the first one is cool, how would I structure the URL so that if I am sending a new customer over that I get the referral like I would if they had clicked on my referral button? Even if I lead them to my track by other means it would be good info if they are new to AJ.

I came up with a way around it but I don’t like the fact that I have to upload the track to my server and use a different watermark as to not seem cheesy. Also that would complicate my workflow and make it a pain in the butt riddled with extra steps. The reason you guys get a piece of the pie is obvious. I understand I need to pay for the shelf space and such but it should still be the same to get the referral bonus since it was my track that caused them to come on over. As a matter of fact, I think the commission should be even higher due to the fact that my talent was what attracted them. If they buy mine and don’t end up going on over to another fine track here. ;)

I read that back and it sounds like I’m complaining but don’t take it that way. I’m really diggin’ the setup. I bought a template from Template Forest to base my page on. =)

Plus, I would still need an answer to number two regardless since after all, a referral is a referral and I’m trying to turn my hobby into something that will let me buy a new toy now and then, if nothing more. =)

Thanks in advance guys. Keep up the solid work on a fine platform.

Update

Ok, I asked number two above without checking on a previous thread where I asked the question already. Forgot to check that one. Here’s the answer:

Can we customize a referral link to send folks from wherever to our Portfolio on the Jungle as opposed to just sending them to the home page? Thanks! I’m really loving this site!

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions, Rob!

You can totally add a referral link to any AudioJungle page. Here’s how:

The instructions on the link are easy. Cool.

robGD One question down, one to go! :) In response to your question about embedding the AudioJungle audio player into your own Web page and using it to play AJ content, of course you can! Feel free to share how you did it with other authors, someone else may be interested to know how it’s done! :)
