A great webhost

Ok, so I´ve been searching around for days and hours to see if I can find a GREAT host that´s still cheap and offers cheap domain names.. The ones I´m thinking about right now are

GoDaddy (for domainname) HostGator (for hosting) Site5 (for hosting)

Or do you fellow developers, designers and “geeks” outhere know any other host that´s better than these and preferably cheaper?

I have used a couple of host in germany and holland but they had a lot of limits so i swicht to mediatemple and i must say it works great.

When it’s too cheap, trust me it means it’s either unreliable or not modifiable that you may need to when you have a website that you need to edit the php.ini or apache settings to run it smoothly.

Advertising mediatemple again; get an account there for $20 and sit back, enjoy

I get bad ratings from some of my themes just because a buyer is on hostgator or godaddy which doesn’t run thumbnailing or don’t allow any modifications that new technologies require and blame me for developing a good theme which requires those modifications (though I state on the help files and description).

And it pisses me off. I wouldn’t want you to face that =)

This is probably if your hosting more than one high-traffic site, or hosting sites for clients.

MediaTemple has been nothing but perfect for me.

Add another vote for MediaTemple, it’s been great. I can’t wait for the successor to the Grid-Service, the Cluster-Server. It’d be nice to have a back-up tool with the service, hopefully they can deliver on that.
