Hi everyone!
So, I’ve finally decided to go ahead and update my site, and just purchased a themeforest wordpress theme to help me
I have installed it and all is well!
Here is my question though…how can I keep my existing homepage up and running while I continue to work on the new homepage in the background?
As I installed wordpress in the root directory, the index.php from the theme is placed in the root and overrides the index.html.
If I say rename the index.php to something different, none of the pages I build will work correctly and returns 404’s…..unless the index is there and properly named.
What would be the simplest way to do this? I am very new at using wordpress so please forgive me if this is a very basic thing.
Thanks so much!!!
Not sure if this can help you, but you can try

Thanks diogoredin and maxvarlson: I will give these a try!
I wonder if the themeswitcher is the right thing when my other splash page isn’t a theme…but I won’t know until I read though everything.
Thanks again!
