What did you think of when you saw this?

It represents the NSFW for images (Adult Images) that would go over such images. Please help us by telling if you thought the same. I believe the X does a great a job by saying “No, this is locked!” but I’d like to know if you guys think the same!

Thanks a lot!

My first perception was that it was some sort of a logo or a digital signature.

IMHO, the thinness of X as compared to the letters makes it seem less obvious and more like just a design element.

Furthermore, the letters, too, seem a little difficult to comprehend owing to their arrangement.

Well this type have logo has never focused on the X so you don’t read it as X – NSFW

Plus most of these styles of logos read differently, I read it first as WN FS

Very strong points – Thank you, it definitely helped a lot!

I think this is then an improvment:

How about:

Top: N

Left: S

Right: F

Bottom: W

(would increase legibility in my mind) and then the full words in low opacity, maybe a little larger behind the design? :)

Thanks, Tommus!I actually tried it but I think I went too “artsy” with it – I’ll stick with the latest version since it’s very straight to the point and it shouldn’t be much of a hassle for the user to recognize it!

Thanks for the help, you guys rock.
