Hi mates,

I usually modify the text of my graphic works (eg: flyers, logos, shirt design, ...) in order to have a graphic treatment on the text to make it more attractive and unique (sometimes I design it from scratch with pencil and paper (typographic work)...). This often leads to non-editability of text, which becomes a graphic element just like a square or a circle.

I know that non-editability of text can be a problem and can lead to less sales (client may want/need to modify it), but sometimes I want that a certain text isn’t changed and remain as is, as a characteristic element of the design (in same cases the text itself is the main part of the design).

So the question is: Is it permitted to submit works (eg: logos, flyers, etcc ..) that have the characteristic of having the text not editable ?

Thanks, Chris

Thank you for the reference, but I think those guidelines could limit and constrain our creativity. I think we never or rarely see on the marketplace awesome typographic handcrafted designs this way.

If You really want to be creative, then include all letters in alphabet as elements, so the client can put together that title which best suits his needs. I think that this should be accepted and You give your design more value.

Unfortunately it may work for flyers and print desing, but imo not for logo templates.
