Hi Experts,

I’ve uploaded my first theme. it was soft rejected. However, they asked me to follow this instruction:

The main preview should be a 590×300px jpg. JPGs should be named in a numeric order which will dictate the order in which they’re shown (i.e., 01_preview.jpg, 02_home.jpg, 03_about.jpg…). Please do not include any other files in your Preview Set, and please do not include your preview JPGs in the main submission.

Actually i cant understand it clearly.

I uploaded a ZIP file that contained a preview image of 590×300 and two other image in numeric order (example: 01_oneimage.jpg , 02_another.jpg)

I cant understand where is the problem ?

are previews mandatory ?

Thanks, Ebrahim

It’s written in his message. You 590×300 image needs to be called 01_Preview.jpg, the other images starting from 02_Whatver.jpg

@Ebrahim6, When making your submission, look closely at the fields in your submission form :

In the “Main File(s)” field, you need to provide a zip file of your theme. Do not include your preview images in this zip file. It says so clearly under this field so you can’t miss it.

In the “Preview Screenshots” field, you need to provide a zip file that contains only your preview images. The images will appear in the order you numbered them.

The 590×300px jpg image needs to be supplied in the appropriate field when you make your submission. This is the field labelled “Inline Preview Image”. Don’t include this in the preview set or your main theme submission zip.

In short, look at your item submission form and follow the directions.

Good luck with your submission.

@Typps

Thanks for your reply.

where can i get this field ‘Inline Preview Image’ ? I believe i never seen it on submission page.

I see four fields as follows:

1) 80×80.jpg/png for thumbnail 2) Previews set of files in ZIP format 3) Main files for buyers in ZIP format 4) Optional Wordpress theme

are we seeing the same page ?

@Typps, don’t give advices if you don’t know what you’re talking about man :D

There’s no “Inline Preview Image” field for TF uploads and you were wrong in saying that he shouldn’t include the preview in the images zip archive, that’s what got him the rejection first of all.

Ahh, it appears we have different item submission forms in codecanyon, didn’t know it was any different for themeforest. Ruben seems to have this one, apologies for confusion.

Yes, your right. Didn’t mean to confuse Ebrahim6 more than he already was. I’d delete my post if I could but it’s probably better this way, if only to prove my ignorance in the subject matter :P
