Hello VideoHive,

First thing I have to say is: this site and it’s related marketplaces are the way of the future. You guys are providing an invaluable resources for content creators, producers, directors, etc; while at the same time exposing young new talent, along with professionals in all of the industries you service. So for this, congrats! I hope, over time, I will be able to contribute this invaluable marketplace.

I do have a question regarding accept/reject notes. I’ve received rejection notices for some of the content I’ve recently submitted; and the reason I received for the rejection was plainly stated as: “I’m sorry but I do not feel that this file meets our strict quality standards at this time.”

I’m wondering if the quality of the ‘master file’ was insufficient or was the quality of the ‘design/animation’ not up to your standards?

I thought the animations were quite nice, and loopable, but perhaps since the site seems to be focusing on the project files as of recent, I’m wondering if motion backgrounds may not be as popular an option as it used to be.

My goal is to create content that is a good fit for envato, and I’m just trying to navigate my way to the right path. Thanks for any help.

Again, love this site!

Best, Fuzzee

Fuzzee,

First of all, thanks for the kind words.

We strive to keep the quality of our library high, which appeals to the buyers, and in turns makes more successful authors. The files you submitted were nice, but we already have many flag animations in our library. I felt your submissions didn’t bring anything new to the table. But you are on the right track, and the quality of your work is very nice. Just these files were not a good fit.

You are right in regards to your comment about project files, but we are still just as focused on motion graphics and stock footage. It’s just that the library in motion graphics is very large, and the quality bar has been slightly raised. Because of this files need to offer a bit more to get accepted. I’m sure you understand.

Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the quick reply. That’s pretty much what I wanted to hear.

One thing though; I don’t think I’ve done a flag animation. I was trying to bring some kaleidoscopes to the table, as a search for Kaleidoscope in VideoHive doesn’t bring up too much.

Anyways, like Jay-Z is saying on the radio right now: ‘On to the next one!’

Thanks again.

Best, Sam

Hey shtep,

It’s nothing to get overly concerned about, reviewers often hold a file for inspection for quite a few reasons, perhaps they need to review something more in depth or get another opinion, there could be many possibilities. Best of luck! :)

In my case, I think they just wanted to hold it for awhile to stop laughing before they rejected it :)

Hi everybody! my file also got rejected but it’s really not big deal… I’ve put it on youtube for free: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvHifhbfnjA

Videohive told me that i’ve put to many textures in file and i should sell projects not textures… I must say i don’t agree, i think my file should have been accepted for at least the price of 7$.

What do you think?
