I don’t know why the name of this site is changed because I saw other flash sites which are still using ‘flash’ in their domain name.

Answer 1:
Envato knows that in the future flash will die, so they don’t want to be identified with a technology that at some point will not exist.
Answer 2:
Envato knows that in the future Adobe will change the name of flash to active.
Answer 3:
The aliens made them do it. For some reason the aliens don’t like flash, but like active, so they pushed for this change of name.
Answer 4 (most likely):
The change of the name was decided at a party, after many beers. for no particular reason that just to do it. A good rule was decided after that, to not let people bring on the discussion table, marketplace name change topics, when on the table are anything from beer to vodka.
Answer 5 (the real one): Adobe got bored by all the money he made so it start a journey to bankruptcy land. The first step is to undermine who brings you customers. After all, if developers sell less, they eventually stop buying you creative suits, and is what you want if you have to much profit.
That’s bogus Doru.
1.) You mentioned the first answer but then tied it in with the last one, subtly and obscurely.
2.) Creative Suites will still sell among designers. If not for Flash, then for their other expanding web development softwares, plus for graphics softwares.
3.) This enveloped fold between flash and non-flash-providing hardwares may change in the future. I’ll let others take that on though.
I like ya, but can’t agree too much with that post of yours. Oh well.
edit Well, maybe you do make a good point about them undermining their customers… Who knows.
