Hello,

I have my rollovers set up through a movie clip. What I want to do, is when one of my buttons are rolled over, I want a specific sound clip to play. I have frame labels for over, up, out and down, and I was hoping I could put the sound on the ‘over’ label, and have the sound play when rolled-over, but it plays as soon as the movie starts instead. :(

If you need to see my code, I can post that too.

Thanks! Sammi

Have you tried :

btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, playSound);

function playSound(e:MouseEvent)
{
      ...
}

If you want to contact me through my profile I’ll be glad to take a look at your file. Sounds like it would be very easy to fix. Basically, try what tinman said. I can do it for you if you’re having problems.
