Hi everyone!

Im not quite sure if this is the right place to ask help but I guess im in a desperate move.

I just bought this item http://videohive.net/item/unfold-photo-slideshow/164176

I wanted to add more photos. I’m a newbie though I was able to add photos on my own on other AEtemplates but I am having a hard time with this one.

Here’s what I did,

1.extended the time duration to make way for my additional photos 2. I tried duplicating the last composition with the last photo 3.replace it with new photo.

The problem is when I preview it, I still see the same photo from the last composition being animated.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

By the way, I tried sending a message to the author but to no avail.

I don’t know how that particular file you have works but in after effects duplicating a file is not that intuitive, since it will duplicate or create a new instance depending of the place where you are doing the operation. Also, if there are nested composition (usually is like this) you can duplicate the top comp but the nested comp will be instances. Probably this is the issue you are facing.

Anyway, you can try using this script: http://aescripts.com/true-comp-duplicator/ it will create a true copy of a composition and the nested comps inside.

I let you know when I prosper with this one.

Hi Doru,

I watched the video about the script. The example shown was a text instead of an image replacement. Does it work on images as well?

Thanks

yes, it works on compositions with images inside too, but the main issue is to study how the project was build, to understand what composition you need to duplicate. That is the complicated part practically.

Actually you can do manually what the script does if you know what you need to change. That script just cuts a lot of boring copy and replace steps.

Hi Doru,
