hello,

i’m in need of some help, desperately. i purchased a wordpress template from ThemeForest. it’s a single-page layout with parallax. the theme doesn’t have included the current-menu-item state for the navigation and i’d like to add it. i’ve scoured the web and nothing works. the developer won’t help because it’s a customization.

thanks in advance. a

You’ll need to add a bit of JavaScript to add/remove an active class when you scroll to the “page”.

Hi,

- Click the “screen options” button at top of the page - Activate “CSS Classes” - And add current_page_item and current-menu-item by leaving a space between them

I’m not sure which theme is it, but with this way you can add those selectors by manually.

Hope that helps.

@stmcan did you mean the screen option on the menu page? that didn’t work.

i’m using the Bravo theme if that helps.

Don’t you see these options when you click the screen options http://cl.ly/image/1l0w3i3m420K/Image%202014-04-03%20at%205.11.33%20AM.png on Appearance > Menus

If adding those classes manually not resolves, you’ll need to contact the author.

yes, i followed what you said, and it didn’t work. the author won’t help me because he says it’s a customization and he doesn’t give support for customization.

It won’t work as it’s a one page theme, the only way would be to add js like I said before.

How to do it depends on how the theme is coded.
