Google issued a beta release of Chrome for Android earlier today. The browser provides support for modern Web standards and includes a number of compelling features that aren’t available in the Android’s default browser. One noteworthy Chrome desktop feature that isn’t included in the mobile port, however, is the integrated Flash runtime. ..... http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/news/2012/02/adobe-confirms-no-flash-for-chrome-on-android.ars

Indeed was expected, bottom line if there is no more developing for Flash plug in for mobile, there is no logic to add it in any mobile browser as this market moving so fast on the developing matter.

The problem now is the word itself Flash for mobile as many will think flash app`s are on the same category as no developing …. Flash/flex developers know what i mean, but the ordinary user will think this restriction will apply to any kind of flash mobile platform.

But really guys who care :P

Not surprising. Anyone I know that views any complex flash on their mobile complains that it is just too much for it. (before anyone goes all zealot, they say the exact same thing for complex HTML5 stuff too, they’re phones dammit, not quad core desktops). For intense sites responsive/fluid layout is simply not enough, people absolutely have to get used to the idea of serving specialized simplified mobile versions for heavily interactive/animated sites regardless of the platform they choose for the pc version.

^ People is starting to navigate only through their mobiles/pads. So we have to assume a step back regarding available technology for at least a couple of years. Deal with it.

(anyway seems that the Galaxy III , for example, will build a quad core)

I disagree, the way i see it responsive layout will be dominate in HTML5 use in the coming years. it’s a killer work and it’s no fun duplicate your layouts for some screen , but i just can’t see a better solution with HTML5 on all screen size

hmm, I don’t think I was being clear enough in what I was trying to say:

pezflash: I’m not sure if you were disagreeing or not :P But either way what you are saying is exactly what I mean, you need to make sure if you have a CPU intense site (regardless of platform, this includes HTML5 ) you HAVE to serve a less CPU intense version for people with mobiles, it’s important for the reasons you are pointing out.

tsafi: Keep in mind I said for intense sites, I’m talking CPU here. Of course for normal blogs, company sites, etc you just use a responsive layout because that’s easiest, but if your HTML5 site uses 100% CPU on my new PC then you need to do more then just adjust the layout to 1 column and change element sizes for mobiles, you need to serve less CPU intense content to the mobiles :)
