damn, im on the list, and my password hint is ‘the usual one’. Time to change it.
EDIT: Disregard most of what I said here. I cut out the wrongsies now
Conclusion is: if you’re re-using the password anywhere, well.., you shouldn’t. This is absolutely key. Find a way to manage your passwords such that you do not need to repeat them. Have a look at PWDHash (which is a neat algorithmic solution) or 1Password / LastPass / KeePass (password management tools). If all else fails, even prepending a (few) different letter(s) each time already helps.
For fiscal year 2012, Adobe achieved record revenue of $4.4 billion. – http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressreleases/201212/Q412Earnings.html
And not one __ was given about security.
Just be careful where you “Check the list” – I can already see fake “enter your email” scripts popping up.
I got a letter through the post from Adobe telling me that my account was compromised and my card details, personal details were taken.
I now have to change all our cards just before christmas
I also got the letter in the post today, luckily I changed cards very recently anyway and had a unique pass for adobe so was easy fix but still a pain that these sorts of things happen.
