Hello,

I just recieved my new iMac 21 inch… dont have any adobe softwares downloaded. I want to buy “Photoshop CS5 Extended Upgrade” and “Illustrator CS5 Upgrade”.

On the apple website it states you can use the upgrade software if you have an original licence.. or serial numbers etc.

I want to download the free trial version from Adobe.com and upgrade them with the softwares instead of buying full version. Does this sound possible.. have you tried and succeeded?

Any replies will be helpful :)

Of coarse it’s not possible. The trial will not give you a valid serial number.

You have to pay full price or get a student version if eligible…

A shockingly cheap price.. I got the Adobe® Creative Suite® 5 Design Standard for £195 (Academic Version). Full version is £1,219.00.

What’s the difference between full version and academic? Limited tools/features maybe?

That seems to be no longer true, see here: http://www.adobe.com/uk/education/students/studentteacheredition/faq.html
