I’d really like to know why us citizen pay $49, while european citizen pay over 61€ which is more than $80!!!

One reason. taxes from EU (maybe)

in germany taxes are 19%, we are talking about an increase of 65% here. I don’t know any country with that high taxes. It just doesn’t make sense. you end up paying $1000 per year, while the rest pays only $600. Who are they trying to be kidding with that sh*t?

Hm probably that is why they kill Fireworks, because they want to go full proprietary on file formats, like psd for sources. The png from Fireworks was too open for a company that wants to own your stuff.

The single reason behind killing Fireworks and Freehand is, both are direct competitor of Photoshop and Illustrator someway. So there is no point in improving those. In case Macromedia continued the service without Adobe acquisition, as now Illustrator and Photoshop should be on big trouble (not on print but web).

I’ve been subscribing to Creative Cloud for several months now, and love it. The software is always up to date with the newest version, and no huge bank-breaking one-time investments.

All the CS suites allow you to have 2 installs and with the correct license you can have both OSX and Windows… so it actually makes no difference, just costs you more…

I hope they combine FW export options into PS though, they were so much better strangely…

i think a subscription only model with a hand in your wallet each month sucks. I like to own my software, not pay monthly rental fees. this blows.

I think some of you should look at the facts rather then on the hype. Its like the worst case scenario. What will be next? Pay per hour? If you dont buy the master suite now, you have to pay your whole life for this programms. Over the past years, only little things got added to the new versions. It was very easy to work with the creative suite over few years. We are giving more and more things out of our hands: we let us incapacitate. Can you image that this system would be possible in 2007? No, because there we had full control.
