Crazy of you ask me…... it’s a platform to Compile Flex code to HTML and Javascript, i guess its experimental cross-compiler from MXML and ActionScript to HTML and JavaScript.

What adobe say(well i translates there hidden thoughts ) you need to waste your time and try to fully translating Flex-based content to HTML + they say it could be 3-5 years from now as they believe HTML5 could support the majority of use cases where Flex is used today.

If you ask me i think that statement aim more for weeds smokers Flex developer …. :P .

^But you know M as a Flexer you don’t know how to eat that move, at first i thought what the fu* they are doing dumping Flex to the Apache ,now i thing ok anything that is not in the hands of ADOBE this is just better( maybe they can do it with flash also so I’ll stop trash them )…. But you know they just laid off so many Flex/Flash developer worldwide (probably they all learning html now :P )….they just forgot not like Flex/Flash they don’t have a taboo in html 5 or js syntax like they do with Flex/Flash.

As i get that now Flex was never a profit platform for ADOBE and since i think it’s all about money they dump it to the Apache and not in the name of glory open source.

Just hold and see Marco with Flash cs6 everything is aiming in to games anyway, let’s see them selling that platform ….best AS syntax are Flex developers what you want them to now really ? make flash files? :P

None of their decisions are based on technology or engg or community atleast for the past 3 months. I am more curious to see how they are going to slip Photoshop out of their hand by similar mistakes (ex: CS6 upgrade license rules), looks like the time arrived. They grown big enough so that their issues are complex and can’t make working decisions.

^CS5.5 upgrades right now are on the toilet you can find today very cheap discount .

As cs6 they are talking of subscription For $49.99 per month base on their Cloud/Creative Suite on Dec 31 you will have all your answers i guess. but also in my undersanding you will see CS6 .5 in 2012 and CS7 be the end of 2013 so they will enforcing you for a new upgrade policy from cs6.

you can get Photoshop CS5 right now at $499 + upgrade you will add $150.

But you know Photoshop is just way to huge and the number software i can’t see a replacement for that right now, number 2 is AI then AE, finally they learn something about dictatorship from Apple :P .

But its going to be a mass on the transition for so many for sure.

I think also as2 just going to die now for sure :P not that it matter to anyone …. (Ho maybe paz)

It is long time after which I hear the word AS2 on the forums (sounds cool to my ears through) :P

Btw, regarding the upgrade model, it is very tough to make especially Photoshop users to upgrade too frequently (they are’t mobile devs to do these things), most of them used to skip atleast 1-2 versions so far (obviously due to lack or difference in versions and necessity to upgrade hardware in few cases) and it is hard to make them purchase useless 5.5 only for future upgrade eligibility. Many will just wait for different brand from now on! :P

I think i didn’t look at as2 more than a year, then few days ago someone ask my support on one of my as2 file ,i am telling you looking at as2 code again is like having sex again with your X-girl….pure joy if you ask me and it’s so like JS :P .

Btw.

If you ask me 5.5 is just a rip-off it’s like telling you to buy it cos` it’s so great ,then once you open it at the first time you see a big finger with a title saying ,you are a true sucker my friend :D
